Who Can Count?    Who can count the snowflakes falling from the sky? Not possible, nor practical – no need to even try. The growth begins inside a cloud with a tiny piece of matter, And water molecules condense to form a crystal pattern. While it’s small, the facets form and dominate the growth, Forming hexagons which are complex and simple both. The corners branch symmetrically through the saturated air And tumble through the clouds – conditions changing everywhere. Each path – just slightly different from those the others take Creates a wonderful design for each unique snowflake.   Who can count the trees that reach up to the sky? It’s possible, not practical – who would even try? The growth begins when seeds are scattered by the wind And land on soil that will allow the growing to begin. The kinds of trees are varied, with purposes diverse – They offer shade and shelter and fruit to quench our thirst. There are willows, oak, and aspen, juniper and birch, Hemlock, cedar, larch, and pine, walnut, cherry, fir . . . Within each species, differences more numerous to tell Created with delight by Him who fashions all things well.   Who can count the people on this earth we occupy? It’s possible and practical – the census people try. The growth began in Eden when God created man And gave to him a wife, and then to both He gave a plan: Be fruitful – go, and fill the land with children of your love And show them they are each an image of the One above. So many souls, so many sides of God’s own nature shown – His strength, compassion, grace, and peace imprinted on His own. Each life reflects a singular, exclusive combination Created in His heart and birthed with joy and celebration.   --Liz Kimmel
