Description

The era of modern and playful management methodologies has arrived a few years ago.

Lots of companies are moving from traditional methods to Agile methods, creating a wide range of possibilities to do people-, project- and product management.

Agile management has become a hot topic, tool vendors jumped on that and started creating various to do Agile, the sticky notes and thick markers are often replaced by more complex project management tools which can sometimes be a little bit restrictive in the end.

These tools need to be maintained, older team members have a hard time handling them AND their work.

We thought that there must be a more fun and visual way of managing a project and the related work, so we went looking.

The Lego calendar is what we found, some companies are using Lego to visualize the status of the project or workload.

Vitamins, a London based company has made a nice example about the usage of a Lego calendar, they digitalised it.

We thought it was useful so we tried it out ourselves and we came to the conclusion that the Lego calendar can be applied almost everywhere, in every business, for every methodology.

So here you have it, summarized and illustrated.

Alle images and text are based on the Vitamins Lego Calendar. (further links and sources can be found in the presentation)
