Facebook - by the Numbers • There are 185 million Facebook users in the US, representing 65% of the population. • Facebook users spend an average of 16 minutes a day on the site. • 25% of all content shared on The Internet is done through Facebook. • Facebook is responsible for 26% of all referral traffic.

Twitter – by the Numbers • There are 107 million Twitter users in the US, representing 30% of the population, and 50% of all online users. • 30% of Twitter users have an income of over $100K. •36% of Twitter users tweet at least once per day, with an average visit time of 11:50 minutes • Twitter accounts for 4% of referral traffic.

90% of consumers make purchasing decisions based on peer recommendations. Only 14% trust traditional advertising.
