why... ..has there not been 100% deployment to all users and branches within the enterprise?

how does do this? ...which improves the resilience and acceleration of VoIP through header compression and incredibly efficient multiplexing that results in the number of possible calls over any bandwidth it does not touch the voice package Which means there is absolutely no degradation of speech quality it is deployed as a tunnelling technology that controls everything that traverses the tunnel – voice and data this control allows for the implementation of better security, QoS enablement at a byte size level... and because ... is designed for voice (not data)

how does do this? Criteria ViBE enabled Quality of Service is implemented in a completely different way to traditional methods, being much more suited to slower links. Classes of data can be given their own share of available bandwidth in a much more granular way than traditional QoS Voice is no longer treated as simply another type of data which happens to have a high priority. Instead, it is treated as a data stream with very specific requirements not only in terms of priority, but also in terms of spacing between packets. Compression the bandwidth budget required is reduced to that of the compression format used, so that a G.729 call really does only use 8Kbit/s over the ADSL link rather than the 42Kbit/s which is more usual. Number of calls rather than a maximum of three calls, twenty-five calls are now practical on a single broadband line. Voice and data can readily coexist on a single link. Data transfer rates are not compromised by the fact that voice is present Security sites that have ViBE links can be joined together to form private networks, which means that security is easier to control. With point-to-point VPN tunnelling security is as strong as your corporate policy will allow Disaster Recovery Backup links can be implemented which can be activated without losing calls in progress Multiple locations Future development of the technology will allow multiple links to be used as a single large bandwidth connection, offering a viable alternative to costly private circuits.

ViBE requires rack mounted server appliances to be located in the “head end” of your network with either ViBE enabled CPE or ViBE specific routing appliances located on the customer site.
