VAMPIRES : VAMPIRES Myth and Facts VS. “Real vampires don’t need blood, only part of it or just energy” : “Real vampires don’t need blood, only part of it or just energy” MYTH : MYTH First off, only sanguinarians and hybrids drink blood. And this is a myth…they need the blood. But I’m not a sanguinarian so im not going to comment. “Real vampires can fly” : “Real vampires can fly” MYTH : MYTH No one can actually fly. Anyone who thinks this to be true watches too many movies and reads too many stories. You need something like this “Sunlight kills real vampires” : “Sunlight kills real vampires” Exaggeration : Exaggeration Some vampires are sensitive to sunlight but no it will not kill them. They wont burst into flames, turn to dust, or sparkle/twinkle! “Real vampires are undead” : “Real vampires are undead” Myth : Myth This one is thanks to, again, books movies and folktales. But no we are very much alive. “Real vampires kill people for food.” : “Real vampires kill people for food.” MYTH : MYTH Most vampires have donors (people who are willing to give blood/energy) and many vampires only take what they need. And..with blood…most of it is medical anyway. “Real vampires have fangs” : “Real vampires have fangs” MYTH : MYTH If a vampire has fangs….they are fake. Not all vampires wear fangs..it’s a fashion choice. “All people who say they are vampires are goths” : “All people who say they are vampires are goths” Exaggeration : Exaggeration Yes there are people in the community (including myself) who are goths. BUT…many people in the subculture are normal people; teachers, buisness people, lawyers, etc. “Real vampires can only be killed by a stake and cross” : “Real vampires can only be killed by a stake and cross” Exaggeration/Myth : Exaggeration/Myth The thing with the crosses is a myth..there are Catholics who are also vampires. And the thing with the stakes…that’s just stupid. If you stab anyone with a stake they will die. Common sense right there.
