But building trust should be a goal on its own. The whole concept of content marketing is based on trust and creating a long-term relationship. Let people come to you by providing interesting and useful information. Your audience will spread the word and advocation your content when they trust your credibility and believe that you deserve more attention. Promotional video can foster trust as well. Google loves videos Videos increase the time visitor spent on your site. Thus longer exposure signals search engine that your site has a good content. Youtube reports mobile video consumptions rises 100 every year. Since people like to watch videos on the go and the number of smartphone users is growing your video audience keeps getting bigger and bigger. slide 6: In addition Google also tells us that smartphone users are twice more likely than TV users and 1.4 more likely than desktop users to feel close connection with brands that show video content on their devices. That being said you should be sensitive to the personal experience people have on their smartphones. For example give them a choice whether to keep watching or skip your video ads. 6. Video engages even the laziest buyers Video is a great tool for learning but it’s also super easy to consume. Today’s lifestyle makes people to busy to have time to read long product description or dig deep into services. Modern customers want to see the products in action. This is one the most important driving forces of video marketing. Video content can capture a wide audience and it works on many levels. Make sure you target not only the eyes but ears and hearts of the potential client. Your competitive advantage will be doubled if you can achieve this. 7. Video encourages social shares In the 8 th annual Social Media Industry Report Michael Stelzner stated 60 of social marketers used video content in 2015 and 73 of the total respondents planned to use video content in 2016 and they sure did. Social networks also encourage video content with their new feature. Facebook has launched 3600 video content and live video. Instagram put in place 60-Second Videos and Instagram Stories. Twitter has Penscope and Youtube is the second most popular social network in the world. However in a social media context video marketers must remember that people share emotions not facts. 76 of users say they would share branded videos with their friends if it was entertaining. So create fun and interesting videos to encourage social shares. Emotions are not exactly ROI but social shares can increase traffic to your site and you can take it from there. slide 7: How to Get Started with Video Marketing Now that you are aware how powerful video marketing can be you probably fired up and can’t wait to get into it. Slow down friend even though video marketing is the easiest way to get free traffic to your business or brand it can also be one of the hardest types of content to create when you don’t know what you are doing. But if you want your marketing to be successful you need as much attention as possible. That’s why video marketing is a guaranteed method to ensure you are maximizing your outreach potential. In fact you might see your video go viral if you play your cards right. If you ready to make the first step into the video marketing world here are some pointers that can help you get started. 1. Make a plan Before you venture into the realm of video marketing it is wise that you start with a solid plan. I know this pointer is too obvious you are like ‘daa’ but you will be surprise that how many video marketers that just dive head first into video marketing. They usually fail HARD before rise up again and learn from their mistakes. You don’t have to go through these failures if you have a clear goal and ways to achieve it. Your plan should include • Your video marketing goals short term and long term setting both of them will give you a clear path to follow. • Target audience gender age range demographic hobbies health condition education level etc. • Style of content entertainment which include comedy parody reality show prank vlog or educational such as tutorial latest news top tens and much more based on your target audience. slide 8: 2. Track your progress The way I see it any consistently effective marketing campaign is defined by consistent growth. And you cannot measure your growth if you are not tracking your progress. That’s right it’s not enough to have a perfect plan if you are not holding yourself accountable. Do you achieve your goal that’s great But can you tell me why your video content works If it doesn’t do you know why it flopped Tracking your progress is important for two main reasons. First you want to find what works and stick to it when creating your videos and determine what doesn’t work and make sure it’s not in your future content. Simple yet 90 if video marketers don’t put it into action. When their marketing campaign hit a plateau or dropping in performance most of them don’t have a clue what step to take in order to overcome the obstacles. Tracking your marketing campaigns will help you avoid this headache because you will have all the data involving the actions you took which lead to success and failure. From there scaling your business or saving your failing campaign is Childs play for you. 3. Create videos based on your passion Video marketing is still marketing. This means you need to convince people to take certain action. In order to do this you need to provide detailed explanations which require you to have an extensive knowledge about the products or services that you are trying to sell. I think you know as well as me that when someone is passionate about something they tend to know a lot more about it than other people. You audience can feel whether you have a passion about whether you are passionate about the topic based on how much you know and how well you present it. When they feel that you sincerely like the products or services that you are promoting your viewers will be inclined to take your word for it. This is almost too simple even great schooler can explain it to you. But majority of people don’t even know what they are passionate about. I’ve been there myself to tell you the truth. That’s why you slide 9: need to look deeper into yourself and find the things that you truly love doing and sharing with other people. Once you find it then you will be able to become successful at your video marketing journey. 4. Creating your first video Alright now we have the planning part out of the way it’s time to get to the fun part. Creating your first ever video content might seem a bit intimidating especially if you are new to the video marketing world. But I will tell you one little secret ‘your first video should be your worst’. Think about it if a video is an improvement on the last one it only makes sense that your first video is your worst right Instead of stressing about every minor detail you should just get it done and focus on improving it over time. You won’t find the perfect way of starting your video creation until you get your first video out of the way. Trust me it’s only going to get easier. Don’t get this wrong you should still try to provide as much value as you can and be professional as possible when delivering your content. However expecting your first video to be perfect is just unrealistic. Don’t have all those fancy filming tools yet Not a problem I’ve got you covered. If you have a smartphone you got what it takes to create a video. Smartphone camera these days already evolve and improved a lot. They can produce decent looking videos that are more than sufficient for your few early videos. As your marketing strategy develops you might want to consider investing more time and money into video creation. Remember there is no perfect time to start. So start right now. slide 10: 5. Team up with influencers When you first getting your feet wet in the video marketing industry you won’t be able to gain much viewer I mean at all. This is very frustrating but you have to accept it because you need to deliver quality content in certain amount of time before your brand reach broad viewers. You can speed up the process however by working hand in hand with the influencers within the scope of your niche. An influencer is a label given to a person or company who have high quantity of loyal followers that will most likely to follow their advice on a certain topic or niche. In my opinion the best influencer that can help you with your video marketing venture is social media influencer. Since almost everybody under the sky use social media regularly you will have more exposure to your brand which in turn will speed up the process to make your video content viral on the internet. If you have a friend who own a Facebook page with millions of followers ask him to give your brand a shout-out shout-out is when the influencer recommend something or someone to their audience. However if you are a lone-wolf like me you can contact them professionally via Email or private messages. They might ask for payment most of them will based on the number of following they have. I understand if you are reluctant to spend your money especially when you haven’t make any money yourself. But keep in mind that this is investment that will ensure a faster growth for your video marketing campaign. You will get return on investment ROI soon enough trust me. 6. Keep up the good work If you ask any established video marketer they will tell you that the worst attitude you can have towards your video marketing campaign is build and forget attitude. There are two main reasons why this kind of approach will make you FAIL in video marketing world. slide 11: First reason is you will not have a sustainable audience. You have probably succeeded on creating awesome video content that hook millions of viewers to your products or services. However if you don’t keep up your content over time your audience number will shrink because they KNOW that you only interested in selling stuff to them not giving them consistent value. You will betray your video marketing effort that you put in on the early stage. You will also find that your campaign will fall to the ground faster than a landing space capsule. The second reason why you should keep producing high quality content is the existence of competition. Video marketing is gaining popularity FAST. Each year thousands of video marketers join in the fun. If you feel satisfied and stay at your current level there will come the time when someone else come and take your place. Heck they might even surpass you quicker than you could react. When this happens you can kiss your video marketing success good bye and you will have to launch a new campaign from square one. Video marketing is not easy. You have to deal will a lot of emotional roller-coaster along the way. But keep it up don’t give up. Remember the more value you provide the more profit you can gain from video marketing campaign. Creating a video release schedule is what I have been using through my own video marketing adventure and I advise you to give it a try too. You don’t have to post content every day but at least be consistent about it. As simple as 123. slide 12: Ingredients of A High-Quality Video The higher the quality of your video content the more views and exposure your will get. This is common sense that every video marketer lives with. However producing a top-notch video content is not an easy feat to accomplish. It requires you to invest your time and money into your video creation process. You heard me right ladies and gentlemen you need to invest MONEY into this. But don’t worry there is no need for you to break a bank to make this work. You can invest small on the very beginning and scale it up once you gain the return on your investment ROI. There are few ingredients you need to maximize your video quality. The concept is the same like when you are cooking. You need to get the balance between all the ingredients in order to cook a delicious meal for your family. When we look at it this way it’s not very intimidating at all right Visual The way your video looks play an important role in your effort to hook the viewers into checking out the products and services that you have to offer. Remember I told you that your smartphone is a sufficient equipment on producing your first few videos I still stand firm on that. However when we talk about high quality video creation it is ESSENTIAL that you possess a capable camera at your disposal. When you have a good audio quality your video is still consumable even if you have a decent visual quality. When the sound of your video is good it usually goes unnoticed because It matches what we expect to hear. But when the sound quality is bad it is obvious. Not only is it distracting it cheapens the quality of what could have been a great video content. Also think about how you get your message across. You might look great on the screen you still need your words to convince the viewers to take certain action. Utilizing a microphone is probably the best solution in getting a high-quality audio. I used to be sceptical about using a microphone but when I tested one out which is the one that my friend lend me I quickly changed my opinion because the difference in quality is too huge. This is from a video marketer to another you need to invest in microphone my friend. It doesn’t have to be expensive and fancy. I will recommend you the ones that get the job done nicely. That happened to me few times before and I know how annoying it can be because the videos have a pretty good content. The answer to this conundrum is very simple ladies and gentlemen LIGHTING. Good lighting will make a huge difference in the amount of views your video content receives. There are two options stands before you in order to improve the lighting quality of your video. The free option and paid option. Free option involves utilizing the natural light that produced by the sun. That’s right you just have to expose yourself to as much sunlight as possible. The best spot that have been working for me for so long is recording near the window of your home. Be sure to face the light source though to maximize the amount of light you receive. What awesome about sunlight is it provides just the right amount of light you need for your video. The downside is you only can record during the day and be aware of the weather. If you don’t have the luxury of recording during the day due to work or school then you might want to consider the paid option which is using a lighting equipment. I have listed a few lighting equipment that will serve you well with totally affordable price. Personally I use both of these options. Since I record my video right then and there when the idea struck me I need to be flexible with my lighting strategy. slide 25: Tolifo PT-2765 Price 25.00 Clickable Image slide 26: YongNuo YN300 Air Price 69.00 Clickable Image slide 27: StudioPro Softbox Lighting Kit Price 138.00 Clickable Image slide 28: studioPro S-600BN LED Kit Price 478.00 Clickable Image slide 29: Presentation The last but certainly not least ingredient of a high-quality video is presentation. It’s not always what you say that is important but how you say it. In video marketing specifically we are constantly trying to convert prospects into customers. In order to do this you need to develop a contagious passion for the products or services you offer. If you master this art your video marketing campaign will receive a ton of loyal audience in no time. Here are some tips you can implement to present your video like a pro. Tip 1: Tell your viewer who you are. You should execute this at the very beginning of your video. You need to let your viewers know what makes you the right person to talk about a certain topic. You need to deliver this with a passionate and energetic style in order to hook them into watching your video to the end. But don’t tell a story though just be brief and straight to the point. Tip 2: Explain what’s in it for your viewers This is crucial to attract attention from your viewers to the content of your video. When they know that there is something for them to take home after watching your video they will continue to listen to what you have to say. As a video marketer that is like finding a hidden treasure. Tip 3: Focus on clarity Every successful marketer is aware of the needs to deliver an effective message to potential customers in order to enhance the conversion rate. In video marketing this can be achieved by putting extra attention on the clarity of your videos. You need to speak with controlled pace to allow your viewers to hear every word you are saying. You can also change up the tone of your voice once a while to ensure your viewers’ attention stay fixed at you. This concept is extremely important especially for those of you who run a tutorial style video marketing that rely on full understanding of your audience. slide 30: Tip 4: Strong call to action A have seen again and again where video marketers who have done a great job on capturing their audience’s attention only to leave them hanging in the end not knowing what to do. This is a big waste because your audience will not take extra effort to search the web for ways to get in touch with you unless a few of them that are truly engaged or desperate. What you should do is give them a call to action at the end of your videos like “subscribe to my channel now” or “click the button below to learn more”. This sort of CTA will give viewers steps to take after finish watching your videos. It might not seem as a big thing to you but it will increase your conversion rate dramatically if you implement it properly. slide 31: Common Video Marketing Mistakes Most of us strive for success by learning and researching for the things that have been working for other people and try to copy them in order to get thee same or not better result. However you should not neglect to take note of what doesn’t work to save yourself future headache. Learning from the mistakes of others also allows you to speed up the growth of your video marketing campaign by avoiding distractions and maximizing productivity. Basic business stuff right Here are some of the common mistakes that not only newbies are making but some professional marketers who had been in this business for years do as well. Mistake 1: Turn your videos into sales pitch It has happened to me and I’ll bet that you have experienced it too. You are watching a video on Youtube that have an awesome thumbnail and title which caught your attention. Few seconds later you felt miserable because it turned out to be a sales pitch that has nothing to do with you. What did you do next You probably click away from it or even close the window altogether. When you talk too much about yourself and your brand you lose your viewers’ attention. This also means that you lose a potential customer. You should approach video marketing with equivalent exchange in mind. What I mean is you need to provide value for your viewers before you can get them to check out your products or services. Seems simple enough but many people including me have fallen on this pitfall. Now that you have this information in your grasp you can avoid this mistake in your video marketing quest. slide 32: Mistake 2: Forgetting about SEO “Search Engine Optimization doesn’t pertain to video” If you believe this statement then you couldn’t be more wrong my friend. If you are totally new to this SEO is the process you use to make your videos blogs or websites show up on the first page of the search engine such as Google Youtube etc. if you wish to learn more about SEO click here. Every marketer knows how important SEO to your content marketing but many of them including experienced ones forget about it when it comes to video content. Executing SEO in your titles and description is how you get your videos found. You have to make sure when someone research for their problems your videos are there as a solution. If you leave SEO from your video marketing strategy you have wasted half of your potential customers. Mistake 3: Going for the hard sell I have seen this mistake being made by newbies countless times. They constantly pushing their viewers to buy the products or services that they offer by this I mean they as people to buy at the beginning and end of EVERY videos. They naively thought that the more they order people to buy the more sell they will get. What is the result end up being They don’t even make a single sale. Surprising Not really. Video marketing is used to strengthening the relationships between you and your audience. Meaning they decide to buy stuff that you recommend because they trust you. Don’t let them down by constantly trying to rip them of their money especially when you don’t fully trust the products or services yourself. The rule of thumb that you should follow is the 80-20 rule. You give your viewers 80 value and 20 product recommendation. This will let your audience to believe that you truly care about them and not only trying to sell them a products or services. Get this right and you will be successful in video marketing. slide 33: Mistake 4: Leaving out CTAs You might be thinking “dude you already point this out previously what’s the deal”. My friend I will remind you again and again about this because Call to Action is that IMPORTANT. If you don’t provide your viewers who might be interested to learn more about you by leaving a button to click URL to visit or even a number to call you have lost one or more potential customers and they will most likely won’t take any action from watching your videos. Such a huge waste right If you agree with me then don’t forget to include CTA into your videos okay Mistake 5: Focusing on only one platform Due to laziness a lot of video marketers are content on posting their videos on a single platform. The most famous one is Youtube. I used to be one of those marketers until I learned from a course that my fellow Youtuber recommend on his channel called “Video Breakthrough Academy” more about this course later that you could expand your influence few times broader if you just post your videos on various platforms such as Facebook Tumblr Twitter Pinterest Daily Motion and hundreds of other video sharing sites on the internet. When I implement this knowledge to my video marketing strategy my influence grown like crazy. I cannot explain my surprise of this strange phenomenon but one thing I do know is you need to be smart and utilize every single video sharing platform you can get your hands on to increase the exposure of your videos. This task is time consuming but surely worth it. However since I understand that some of us don’t have much free time on their hands to do those stuff I recommend you outsource it to somebody else. My personal recommendations are Fiverr.com. Fiverr is a platform where the top freelancers are gathering to provide services like submitting videos to 30-50 different video sharing sites for as cheap as 5. I am not kidding guys 5 for doing all the heavy lifting for us. PS: You should know that you can also use Fiverr to create your videos for you. From my experience the quality of the high-rated gigs is really good. Some of them are professional level quality. Even though I slide 34: recommend you to create your own video but for those of you who are not comfortable being in front of camera or have difficulties with English language Fiverr is probably worth considering. Mistake 6: Build and Forget Bruce Lee once said “I do not fear a person who practiced ten thousand kicks once but I do fear a person who practice one kick ten thousand times” This quote resonates with me as a video marketer. If you have the assumption that in order to be successful in video marketing all you need to do a produce one crazy awesome video get tons of views and forget about it then you are an idiot. Please forgive me for being so emotional here. I SINCERELY want to help you to be a successful video marketer. Maybe one day we can even attend the same exclusive conference for top Youtubers in the world. In order to make this mission a reality I need to stress that you need CONSISTENCY if you want to become successful in video marketing. Let this be the one message you get from this report if you wish to forget anything else. Putting up average video content once a week is better than creating one high quality video that exceeds the biggest production company in the world and then forget about it. I have created countless number of videos in order to get to where I am today. That’s why you need to develop passion for video marketing before you even think of being successful in it. “Video marketing is easy” is a big fat lie people out there like to feed you to peak your interest on buying the online courses they are trying to sell. Take this from someone who have been in this industry for years. Video marketing Is not easy it feels easy because you love every step of the journey. If you persevere through the rough times video marketing is very rewarding. Take my hand and let’s keep going and create video content that will grow your video marketing business until you achieve whatever goals you have. slide 35: Video Breakthrough Academy Best place to start Few months ago my friend Clark who also run a Youtube channel launch a video marketing course and as any good friend normally do I go and check it out. When I arrived at the members area and watch some of his video tutorials I said to myself “damn it I wish there are something like this when I first started in video marketing”. I truly feel that way guys no joe. Clark has created a course that teaches you from A-Z about video marketing. Everything you need to know is in there. Clark teaches you the steps tips tricks and strategy that took me years to learn. It almost unfair because you can consume all those knowledge in few hours and start building a successful video marketing campaign the next day. What I have been teaching you in this short report are only the surface level of video marketing. Video Breakthrough Academy will provide you the complete knowledge you need to get your business up and attracting customers left and right. Credits to Clark though for coming up with what I consider to be the best video marketing course I have ever seen in my career so far. I would put my reputation on this guys seriously. Talking about this amazing course is making me fired up. Maybe I should create my own video marketing course that are even better than his in the near future. Real talk: Clark’s course is so good I can’t even think of how I can beat it. Who knows maybe someday I get the idea that are more awesome than Clark’s super awesome Video Breakthrough Academy course. slide 36: Conclusion First thing first congratulations and thank you for reading this average quality report that I written on my spare time till the end.
