Mustang - classic, is a reliable car with minor maintenance, requires me to control its major components regularly (adjust the carb, remember to change the oil/filter/other fluids), fairly dependable, looks good on the surface, lacks efficiency

Chrysler 300 - technology added, but it is still a car; I am learning from this car, maintains semblance of a classic but is much more reliable and offers a more consistent, reliable product, I know I can get from point A to B without issues.

Car engine = teacher running classrooms air=environment fuel=professional development spark=dynamic, encouraged teachers willing to take advantage of what is offered You’ve got the car. It is illegal to just sit in the car on the highway; don’t do that with your classroom.

Web 2.0 read/write web ... collaborative ... sharing

John Seely Brown: "With every new piece of technology, to make this technology work, you have to change your teaching practices. Part of it is (thinking about) how to go from sage on the stage to being a real mentor."
