Participants will have the opportunity to practice postural mat evaluation, be exposed to clinical and assessment guidelines in wheelchair prescription and have an overview of different types of wheelchairs and accessories through case studies (Adult Population). Medical conditions may cause the elderly to lose this ability and eventually lower quality of life. There are many benefits to activity engagement, it is used as a non-pharmacological intervention in delaying progression of medical conditions such as Dementia, and improve or maintain physical well being. TBC This workshop aims to equip healthcare workers with the knowledge and skills in facilitating the elderly to participate in activities. Learners will learn about the importance of activity engagement and how to identify the types of activity for elderly with different levels of ability.
