Trustworthiness Trustworthiness is achieved by developing values. A value or quality is something humans beings consider extremely important and desirable. The following values or qualities help us develop trustworthiness: honesty, integrity, reliability, and loyalty.

Honesty Honesty is a value that helps us convey the truth as best as we know it. Honesty help us avoid communication that is misleading or deceiving.

Truthfulness Truthfulness is: the obligation to speak what we know is true. Truthfulness is: the intent (aim) to speak or convey the truth Example: Half-truths are a way to deceived someone by mixing something true with something that is not true.

Sincerity Sincerity is the commitment of an individual to be truthful. Ex: A person makes a habit to avoid statements or actions that are misleading. People that are not sincere, rely on lying and falsehood in their relationship and interaction with others.

Candor The ability to be straightforward. What you see is what you get, type of person. A person that is not afraid to speak the truth or demand the truth.

Integrity The word integrity comes from the word integer, meaning “wholeness” A person that has integrity is a person that makes sound decisions from situation to situation.

Integrity A person of integrity is a person that does not compromise his or her values in order to achieve a purpose or obtain a benefit. A person of integrity is the same in public or alone. This is called character. People of integrity are admired and trusted because of their resolve, inner strength and transparency.
