The aim is to work with prospective special guardians and improve services to them and children placed with them. Special guardians may be members of a child’s family/friendship group or be current foster carers for the child. The focus of the role is on development and support services. Based within the adoption team and involved in the assessment of special guardians. You will need to work closely with colleagues in fieldwork and other agencies. LAC teams will retain responsibility for the child.
