Try out the HTML to PDF API Spring is a blast of colour the sun and warmth brings out the brightest in just about everything even the grass is a brighter shade of green. If you are holding a spring wedding take some of your inspiration from the outdoors, at this time of year you do not need to hold back on colour. This year’s most popular colours for spring weddings may seem a little held-back but they are actually just the back-drop to some brighter tones. Just about every shade of pink is popular. If you are using a brighter shade of pink then it can take on the main role in the decoration scheme. But if a light or dusty pink is being used then bright colours, or deep green foliage can be used to set a contrast. In just about every aspect of fashion greys have been popular since last fall. It is almost safe to say that grey is the new black! And this is no different for spring trends. It is probably best to stick to lighter shades of grey if you really want to stay current. This is another shade that goes well with just about any bright colour. Try combining it with shades of red, yellow or orange, for a truly fashion conscious look. The lighter shades of purple are the most popular this season, and this tone of purple is a great backdrop for other light colours. pdfcrowd.comopen in browser PRO version Are you a developer? Try out the HTML to PDF API One very exciting part of a wedding for the bride, is the chance to choose and wear a beautiful and extravagant dress, that you will wear only once in your life. As we all know, the traditional and most popular colours for dresses is either white or ivory. However, today a little splash of colour is definitely not out of the question. Colour has become quite a trend over the past few seasons. Designs and fabrics are straying away from the usual dress. The lengths of dresses are really starting to vary, fabrics are becoming lighter, and adding a bit of colour is almost becoming a must. Chiffon is one of the most popular fabrics this season. It is really something different in comparison the some of the stiff fabrics that have been used in the past. Knee-length dresses are becoming a norm, especially since weddings take place in just about any setting these days. Can you imagine wearing a long flowing wedding dress on the beach? A shorter dress definitely allows for more freedom of movement. If you opt for a shorter and lighter dress, you might have to re-consider the type of bouquet you choose. A large bouquet will really draw attention away from a small flowy, knee-length dress. A simple, small bouquet, will suit this type of dress better. Todich Floral Design can help you pick out exactly the right bridal bouquet. There are many sample bouquets available on the web- site, so you can get some idea of what you would like. If you decide to stick to tradition in terms of the colour of your dress, colour can still be added in

But it is not the kind that you will find blooming in your garden and certainly cannot be wrapped up in a bouquet! An underpass in the Cowcaddens area of Glasgow, really needed a bit of work. This problem was solved with the installation of aluminium flowers. They are anywhere from five to eight meters tall with petals that are about two metres wide. There are about fifty pink, orange and yellow flowers in total to brighten up this, once, rundown area. These blooms also serve as a link between the city centre and a newly developing area. This project has been a great success, recently winning the Scottish Design Award in the ‘Future Buildings & Spaces’ category. Flowers, Linking People and Places

pdfcrowd.comopen in browser PRO version Are you a developer? Try out the HTML to PDF API It can be very difficult to budget a wedding or to keep every detail perfect. People often forget that there is nothing wrong with keeping a wedding casual. A simple wedding does not imply that the special day will be any less memorable. In fact, casual weddings are becoming quite a trend, so if you feel you are more down-to-earth, try to take your wedding in this direction. During the summer months this is especially easy to do! Of course, this does not mean that there will not be important details to consider such as, food preparation, placement of tables and lines, and an alternate plan in case the weather turns foul. The guests are sure to feel a bit more relaxed as a casual event requires casual attire. One great idea is to keep the food casual as well, grilled food and simple salads might be one idea. Bridal bouquets and table decorations should also be kept simple, the best rule to follow is to use flowers that are local and in-season (instead of exotic flowers.) This type of wedding can really make the role of the bride worry-free. There is no need to look for an extravagant dress, as a simple knee length dress will fare best in a backyard, vineyard or

When there is little fuss around the details, a lot more attention can be paid to the guests and the newly-weds can focus on each other. Try out the HTML to PDF API To ensure your wedding bouquet looks its best all day, always choose flowers in the peak of their season and autumn is the perfect time for bright, vibrant colours and soft creamy whites! Choosing for colour Autumn probably conjures images of rich reds and golds but the autumn floral harvest goes well beyond that. Try out the HTML to PDF API Zantadeschia (multi) Narcissus (multi) Choosing for shape Most brides stop at the beautiful teardrop of the rose bud or the classic sunny shape of a carnation but choosing a more unusually shaped flower can create an original and unique bouquet. Try a few arum lilies or orchids to create a something delicate and sophisticated. A bunch of yellow narcissus makes for a wonderfully delicate and pretty posy and a bold bunch of hydrangea gives a full celebratory shape. Choosing for theme Autumn flowers are perfect for traditional and “romantic†weddings. All the favourites are available. The detail and beauty of the snap dragon can make an unusually pretty bouquet and of course, rose lovers are spoiled this time of year. For a simpler wedding, Autumn is the perfect time to create a naturally beautiful wild flower themed bouquet using flowers like scabious or consider a loosely tied bunch of spectacular sunflowers for a simple but striking look. Try a few blood red zantedeschia for a dramatic and eye catching bouquet for black and white themed weddings (which are so fashionable these days) the zantedeschia or even red tulip or rudbeckias bouquet is every photographers dream! Flowers 24 Hours Top Tip: The most exciting way to make a beautiful bouquet fragrant and romantic is to add a few herbs. Many herbs not only smell and taste enticing but also sport delicate soft leaves or even a bold silver hue. Sage is readily available in autumn and has both beautiful delicate purple flowers and green and silver foliage. The aroma will add a touch of romance on your big day and forever trigger wonderful memories. Posted in Design, news, September Wedding Flowers, Wedding Flowers, Weddings | No Comments »
