These are some ideas I talk about in my Time Management training sessions. Try to approach each of them and develop in a new habit, in order to increase your productivity and manage your time better. Do't forget to share if you find it useful!

24 TIME MANAGEMENT ESSENTIALS

DEFINE YOUR 1. PURPOSE WITHOUT A CLEAR DIRECTION, YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE WILL FEEL LIKE AN AIMLESS JOURNEY. A PURPOSE WILL RELEASE YOURSELF OF ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NOT ESSENTIAL.

2 . TAKE ACTION! DON’T WAIT FOR THE PERFECT WEATHER. ENERGISE YOURSELF AND START WORKING ON THAT PROJECT OR TASK.

3. AVOID F INTERR UPTIONS CUS! COMMIT TO A SINGLE TASK CONSTANT DISTRACTIONS MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO ACCOMPLISH MORE. FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME AND BE FULLY ENGAGED.

DO IT NOW 4. OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION IDENTIFYING THE CAUSES IS THE FIRST STEP. FIND A SOLUTION, REVIEW YOUR REAL PRIORITIES AND DON’T POSTPONE UNPLEASANT TASKS.

5. SET DEADLINES IT'S TRUE THAT ANY TASK TAKES THE EXACT AMOUNT OF TIME ALLOTTED TO IT. ESTABLISHING A DUE DATE, IS A SIMPLY WAY OF BUDGETING YOUR TIME AND ACCOMPLISHING MORE.

6. STOP MULTITASKING JUGGLING MULTIPLE TASKS HAS ITS LIMITS AND LEADS TO MANY THINGS STARTED AND NOTHING FINISHED. THIS IS CONSISTENTLY COUNTERPRODUCTIVE AND UNHEALTHY IN THE LONG RUN.

7. STOP CHECKING YOUR EM@IL (THAT OFTEN) EMAIL IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST PRODUCTIVITY KILLERS. INSTEAD OF DOING REAL WORK, YOUR INBOX WILL GET YOU DISTRACTED FROM ACCOMPLISHING MORE IMPORTANT GOALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

0 EMPTY YOUR INBOX TAKE ACTION AFTER EVERY MESSAGE YOU READ. DELETE UNNECESSARY CONVERSATIONS, KEEP IN FOLDERS OR PROCESS THE OTHERS. GETTING YOUR EMAILS TO ZERO EACH DAY REDUCES YOUR FEELINGS OF OVERLOAD.

9. PRIORITIZE KNOW AND FOCUS ON YOUR IMPORTANT HIGH IMPACT ACTIVITIES. SPEND YOUR TIME ON THINGS THAT HAVE AN OUTCOME, THAT LEADS TO THE ACHIEVEMENT OF YOUR GOALS.

10. DO NOT CONFUSE URGENT WITH IMPORTANT VERY OFTEN, URGENT ACTIVITIES, THAT DEMAND IMMEDIATE ATTENTION ARE LESS IMPORTANT TASKS THAT CAN BE ATTENDED LATER... OR EVEN DROPPED OUT.

11. write THINGS DOWN DISCARDING EVERYTHING IS ESSENTIAL WHEN YOU NEED TO CARRY OUT A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT TASKS OR COMMITMENTS. DON’T OVERLOAD YOURSELF.

12. USE A WEEKLY PLANNER PUT YOUR GOALS IN PERSPECTIVE AND PLAN IN ADVANCE HOW YOU’RE GOING TO MAKE THE BEST USE OF YOUR AVAILABLE TIME.

13. ORGANIZE YOUR STUFF IF YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE TO FIND SOMETHING, YOU FEEL MORE IN CONTROL OF YOUR WORK WHICH LEADS TO GREATER PRODUCTIVITY.

14. BE PUNCTUAL LAST-MINUTE IS ALWAYS STRESSFUL. WITHOUT EFFECTIVE SCHEDULING AND PROPER ORGANIZATION YOU WILL HARDLY MANAGE TO BE ON TIME AND THIS WILL OFTEN AFFECT YOUR CREDIBILITY.

15 . MAKE THE MOST OUT OF ANY MEETING MEETINGS ARE KNOWN TO BE ONE OF THE BIGGEST TIME-WASTERS. BUILD AN AGENDA, SEARCH FOR A PURPOSE, GET INVOLVED AND CONTRIBUTE, KEEP EVERYBODY ON TRACK

16 . RECONSIDER YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVITY SOCIAL MEDIA IS TO THE MIND WHAT SUGAR IS TO THE BODY. SPENDING TIME ON SOCIAL NETWORKS NOT ONLY THAT MAKES YOU UNPRODUCTIVE, BUT ALSO WILL GET YOUR MIND TIRED WITH USELESS INFORMATION.

STOP READING NEWS IT WASTES OUR TIME WITH THINGS THAT WE CANNOT INFLUENCE AND THAT ARE NOT RELEVANT TO WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE. 17 .

18 TAKE . BREAKS IT'S NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO FOCUS AND PRODUCE HIGH-QUALITY WORK WITHOUT GIVING THEIR BRAINS SOME TIME TO REST AND RECHARGE.

19 EAT . HEALTHY JUNK FOOD IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DRAINING YOUR ENERGY LEVEL. CHOOSE A MEAL THAT WILL ACTUALLY FUEL YOUR BODY AND HELPS YOU PERFORM THROUGH THE DAY.

20 EXERCISE M RE . PHYSICAL EXERCISE HAS A PROFOUND EFFECT ON YOUR ENERGY, HAPPINESS AND WELL-BEING. IT CAN HELP YOU TO RELAX, INCREASE YOUR BRAIN POWER AND EVEN IMPROVE YOUR BODY.

21 zzzz... . GET ENOUGH SLEEP IN ORDER TO GET THAT EXTRA BIT OF WORK DONE WE SACRIFICE OUR TIME FOR SLEEP AND RENEWING. THIS LEADS TO LESS ENERGY THROUGH THE DAY AND TAKES A SUBSTANTIAL TOLL ON COGNITIVE PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTIVITY.

22 BECOME AN . EARLY RISER IT IS SO MUCH EASIER TO STAY UP LATER THAN IT IS TO GET UP EARLIER, WHICH LEADS TO SLEEP DEPRIVATION AND NEGATIVE IMPACT ON YOUR MOOD AND PRODUCTIVITY.

23 REBUILD . YOUR HABITS THE KEY TO A GOOD PERSONAL EFFECTIVES CONSISTS IN THE HABITS YOU DEVELOP. WHERE THESE ARE HELPING YOU OR NOT, TRY TO THINK MORE ABOUT HOW CAN YOU PERFORM BETTER THROUGH THE DAY!

24 ACT RESPONSIBLY . IT’S YOUR TIME AND YOU ARE 100% IN CHARGE OF HOW YOU’RE SPENDING IT. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO USE YOUR TIME TODAY TO MAKE THE BEST OUT OF YOU AND YOUR PROJECTS?
