Tennis is a great way to get the entire body moving. It is a low-impact sport that is appropriate for almost any age and skill level. Playing tennis builds new neural connections in the brain and burns more calories than aerobics and cycling. It also decreases blood pressure, cholesterol, and stress levels and lowers the risk of heart disease.

About Tennis  Beyond preventing many health conditions, tennis also improves coordination, balance, and flexibility, thanks to the constant stretching, rapid changes of direction, and adjustments needed to hit the ball. The sport increases reaction time and bone mass and prevents bone-related issues as the body ages. The side-to-side sprints across the court and bursts of running make tennis a great anaerobic and speed exercise, as well.

Conclusion  The sport also provides several psychological benefits, including developing work ethic and discipline and promoting effective stress relief and management. The endorphins released while playing tennis improve mood, just as many aerobic workouts do, and the communication during a match develops social skills.
