THE IMPORTANCE OF STUDYING SCIENCE Science is important because it teaches an understanding of natural phenomena. Science aims to stimulate our natural curiosity in finding out why things happen in the way we do. It teaches methods of enquiry and investigation to stimulate creative thought. We, as children learn to ask scientific questions and begin to appreciate the way Science will affect our future on a personal, national and global level.
At the Istituto Comprensivo San Giovanni Bosco, we have an extensive range of computer software, website access and interactive activities that are delivered through the use of class room interactive white boards. Science teaching is also supported with informative video clips, models, topic resources and posters.

I have used ICT to further my scientific understanding. I have had fun in Science and enjoyed ‘hands on’, ‘real’ Science activites. I have been invited to attend a Science club after school. I have enhanced my Science learning by enjoying and watching science groups which are organized in my school.
