Depth of Knowledge Shallow depth: Knowledge is superficial; students have a trivial understanding of important concepts. Large quantities of fragmented information may contribute. Deep knowledge concerns central ideas; students make clear distinctions, develop arguments, solve problems, construct explanations and work with complex understanding.

Negative behaviors, comments will discourage effort.
