CanVAS® Location Middleware™ Context aware or location-based services (LBS) are increasingly becoming popular. In addition to the popular LBS such as emergency services, people tracking and workforce management, locationbased advertising and marketing, mobile authentication and fraud prevention, are some of the new services that are being deployed increasingly. CanVAS Location Middleware is designed to offer a complete solution that can address constant change on location information delivery requirements of a mobile service provider. It achieves this task by providing interoperability, programmability and flexibility to service provider’s network. CanVAS Location Middleware offers an operator a powerful way of providing new revenue generating services for information, gaming, navigation, dating, advertising and fleet/resource management, as well as fulfilling legal requirements on positioning of emergency calls. CanVAS Location Middleware enables the operator to differentiate on the market, increase loyalty, reduce churn and increase revenues.
Benefits Centralized Third Party Application and Traffic Control CanVAS® Location Middleware™ provides flexibility to view and control the traffic on the application provider interface. Almost every parameter in applications’ request can be used for enforcement. Easy Application Development CanVAS Location Middleware acts a single integration point for all Location Based Services and integrates towards the network nodes for positioning, messaging, provisioning and charging. CanVAS Location Middleware enables multiple applications, location services, and content service in a single integrated platform presenting an overall consistent user experience. A Complete End-to-end Location Solution CanVAS Location Middleware is independent of any location determination technology and supports network based or handset based location techniques. CanVAS Location Middleware is supported equally in circuit-switched and next generation packet-switched domains. Geo-Fencing and Spatial Trigger By enabling geo-fences and spatial triggers, application providers can set alarms on enter or exit to a defined area, multiple areas per user in their location enabled services.
Product Overview CanVAS® Location Middleware™ introduces a layer between the network and location based services to access the location enablers in a controlled manner. CanVAS Location Middleware connects to enablers within the network with industry standard interfaces. It allows applications to utilize resources as specified in business processes and service level agreements. Those components that belong to the CanVAS CSP product are namely the Access Gateway (XSGW), Consent Manager (CM), Common Provisioning Module (CMPF) and the admin portal modules. CanVAS Location Middleware is based on Telenity’s CanVAS framework that has proved itself in the industry with its scalability and redundancy.
