You have been chosen to be a part of a cross curricular team. Now what! This presentation gives participants the tools they can use to begin creating their cross curricular teams. Discover new ways of using technology that make cross curricular planning easier and more effective.

Why are cross curricular pathways important? Brain based research has proven that students retain what they learn when the material is relevant , interesting, and CONNECTED to prior knowledge.

Setting up Google groups to collaborate with other teachers

Sign up for Gmail Go to www.gmail.com , click the Sign up for Gmail link and follow the simple account set-up steps. If you already have a Gmail account, you can use your existing account to sign up for all Google services.

Create a group Google Groups can be used by co-teachers to collaborate, share and discuss. Simply go to www.groups.google.com and click, create a group . When you belong to a group, you can send emails, post discussion questions, upload documents, pictures, PowerPoints, webpages, etc. You can choose to have alerts sent to your Gmail account or you can view all activity in the group by logging in at www.groups.google.com .
