Strength to Endure: Strength to Endure (Ezekiel 22:12 KJV) In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou hast taken usury and increase, and thou hast greedily gained of thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 22:13 KJV) Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee. (Ezekiel 22:14 KJV) Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with thee? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it. 1. The Evil Day Came: 1. The Evil Day Came (Micah 1:3 KJV) For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. (Micah 1:4 KJV) And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place. (Micah 1:5 KJV) For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem? (Micah 1:6 KJV) Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof. (Micah 1:7 KJV) And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot. (Micah 1:8 KJV) Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls. (Micah 1:9 KJV) For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem. (Micah 1:10 KJV) Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust. (Micah 1:11 KJV) Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir , having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Bethezel ; he shall receive of you his standing. (Micah 1:12 KJV) For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem. 2. The Furnace of Affliction: 2. The Furnace of Affliction (Isaiah 48:10 KJV) Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. (Isaiah 48:11 KJV) For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another. (Isaiah 48:12 KJV) Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last. (Isaiah 48:13 KJV) Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. (Isaiah 48:14 KJV) All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans. (Isaiah 48:15 KJV) I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous. (Isaiah 48:16 KJV) Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me. (Isaiah 48:17 KJV) Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. (Isaiah 48:18 KJV) O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea: (Isaiah 48:19 KJV) Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me. 3. The Good Soldier: 3. The Good Soldier (2 Timothy 2:3 KJV) Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 2:4 KJV) No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. (2 Timothy 2:5 KJV) And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. (2 Timothy 2:6 KJV) The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. (2 Timothy 2:7 KJV) Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. (2 Timothy 2:8 KJV) Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel: (2 Timothy 2:9 KJV) Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound. (2 Timothy 2:10 KJV) Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (2 Timothy 2:11 KJV) It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: (2 Timothy 2:12 KJV) If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 4. Masters of the Art of Warfare: 4. Masters of the Art of Warfare (Ephesians 6:9 KJV) And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. (Ephesians 6:10 KJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (Ephesians 6:11 KJV) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:12 KJV) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:13 KJV) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:14 KJV) Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (Ephesians 6:15 KJV) And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (Ephesians 6:16 KJV) Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (Ephesians 6:17 KJV) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (Ephesians 6:18 KJV) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints ; 5. Kept by the Holy Ghost: 5. Kept by the Holy Ghost (2 Timothy 1:5 KJV) When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. (2 Timothy 1:6 KJV) Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:8 KJV) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; (2 Timothy 1:9 KJV) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (2 Timothy 1:10 KJV) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: (2 Timothy 1:11 KJV) Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. (2 Timothy 1:12 KJV) For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. (2 Timothy 1:13 KJV) Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 1:14 KJV) That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us. 6. Glory, Majesty, Dominion and Power: 6. Glory, Majesty , Dominion and Power (Jude 1:16 KJV) These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. (Jude 1:17 KJV) But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; (Jude 1:18 KJV) How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. (Jude 1:19 KJV) These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. (Jude 1:20 KJV) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, (Jude 1:21 KJV) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (Jude 1:22 KJV) And of some have compassion, making a difference: (Jude 1:23 KJV) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude 1:24 KJV) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (Jude 1:25 KJV) To the only wise God our Saviour , be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen .
