The stock market is a big pool of companies worldwide who's shares of stocks are sold and bought to compete for money and power. You can gain lots of money but also can lose money on the flipside. How does the Stock Market work? : How does the Stock Market work? Businesses go public and worldwide and put out shares in their company to the public. Then the public or people will buy the shares through the stock exchange. Investors can then use the stock exchange to buy and sell the stocks of the companies. To gain a deeper understanding of how the stock market works, why don't we discuss a few of the most common terms.
