 Several of our guests here in Grupo Mayan resorts come here not only because of a major event or because of occasions like weddings or anniversaries, but also as part of their healthy living regimen. Our guests involve themselves in the various activities and sport facilities that we have in our resorts.

 The following are recommendations by our Grupo Mayan health experts for guests and those who want to know what to do to live healthy, prevent the occurrence of diseases, increase their longevity, and just fell great! Even if you are already doing some of these, our Grupo Mayan experts say that these tips can still help you improve on what you are doing.

Undergo health-screening tests There are separate health screenings for men and women. These tests are important to detect early signs of diseases and can be used for prevention according to Grupo Mayan experts. The types of test included in these screenings are recommended by the United States Preventive Services Task Force.

Stop smoking  It is proven that smoking is dangerous to a person’s health and is know to lessen an individual’s life or quality. If you are not smoking, then just do not smoke. If you are a smoker, then this should be your number one health priority according to Grupo Mayan experts.

Be active  Moving and using your body has many benefits for the body. Exercise is known to improve sex life and give more energy. Make exercises a part of your daily routine. There are standardized exercises that can suit your lifestyle. While in Grupo Mayan resorts, participate in the various water sports activities and partake of the other health facilities.

Eat right  It has been drilled to us since childhood that we should eat a healthy diet. This is true then and is very true now. According to Grupo Mayan experts, having healthy eating habits is the most important thing that an individual can do to have a healthy living and prevent diseases. Do you know that adding just two servings of fruit and vegetables a day can increase longevity?

Lose weight  Statistics show that 70 percent of American adults are overweight. This fact alone says that we should all lose weight to stay healthy. Losing weight is not as hard as it looks. The simple act of changing processed foods, sodas and sugar-laden products with fresh foods and produce can make you loose several calories.

Explore preventive medicine  Several preventive medicine and supplements are available in the market. Some of these medicines lower cholesterol, blood sugar and prevent heart attacks. Everyone should be updated with immunizations. Ask your doctor for what preventive medicines would be best for you.

 These tips are simple but they can provide you with so much wisdom on how to live healthy and live a good life.
