HISTORY In existence since 800-100 B.C. Arthava-Veda, medical booklet from India Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) was established in 1928 in order to assist the athletes of the Winter Games of St. Moritz Olympic Winter Games. In 1951, the American Medical Association established a committee on Injuries in Sports, which is now a standing committee.
