What is the Social Media Club? A global organization now in its third year with chapters around the U.S. and the world Over 60 active chapters in the U.S. 15 active chapters around the globe including chapters in Canada, Europe, Australia and the Middle East There are currently over 100 start-up chapters around the world forming with approximately 10 new communities a month expressing an interest in starting a chapter To learn more about the global organization, please visit – www.socialmediaclub.org

The Southwest Florida Chapter Those of us involved from a leadership standpoint established our initial relationships through the use of social networking tools Our local organization was promoted through social media and social networking tools including our website and blog and social networking platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn Much of the collaboration and planning for this and future events occurred through the use of online or Web 2.0 tools such as Basecamp and Google Groups
