Fariyas Holiday Resort, Lonavala, India:  Organized by Society for Free Radical Research-India In collaboration with Society for Free Radical Research-Asia Emerging Trends in Free Radical and Antioxidant Research Third Biennial Meeting of the Society for Free Radical Research -Asia (SFRR-Asia) & Sixth Annual Meeting of the Society for Free Radical Research –India (SFRR-India) Fariyas Holiday Resort, Lonavala, India Visit the website: http://www.sfrr-india.org INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE January 8-11, 2007 Welcome to the Conference:  Welcome to the Conference The role of free radicals and natural antioxidants in various aspects of human health and radiation biology, for therapeutic applications, is being increasingly appreciated in recent times. Great advances have already been made in free radical research involving reactive oxygen and reactive nitrogen species (ROS and RNS) besides antioxidants. Evidence available indicate that ROS and RNS can act as second messengers and influence the signaling pathways involved in a variety of physiological processes. The natural antioxidants play an important role in prevention and slowing down of disease progression, such as neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular ailments, cancer and so on. Recent studies also show that natural antioxidants activate anti-aging genes. The world-renowned scientists/physicians working in these areas will assemble at Lonavala, Maharashtra, India to discuss the latest developments in antioxidant research in the forthcoming symposium. The organizing committee extends a warm invitation to scientists in universities, institutions, hospitals and industries, engaged in basic as well as applied research in related areas to participate in the deliberations of the conference. The scientific sessions of the symposium include plenary lectures, invited talks, selected oral and poster presentations of the contributed papers Topics to be covered in the Conference :  Topics to be covered in the Conference Natural antioxidants and food science Herbal antioxidants and natural products 3.
