The Scarecrow - Character Descriptions We are using The Scarecrow from Alan Peat’s Writing Exciting Ghost Stories for our Spring Writing Unit. My class are generating vocabulary for a ‘good’ scarecrow and an ‘evil’ scarecrow in pairs. They then share their vocabulary with the rest of the class, who have the opportunity to ‘magpie’ the words and phrases, recording their own word bank in their writing journals.
