In the New York Bay. More specifically in Liberty Island. That is a picture pf Ellis Island. Where is the Statue of Liberty is close to. Both are Historian Sites. All together the statue represents generosity and hope and freedom. The robe that is worn by her is dignifying Greek matron in classical times. The broken chains that are at the bottom of the statue represents the newly-won freedom of America. The fact that the left foot is ahead of her right foot symbolizes her walking away from captivity. The seven spikes on her crown represent the seven oceans and continents in the world. One of her feet is also standing upon the chains representing the acquired freedom of America.
