advertisement PRESENT Informative about Radiosity in 3D and CAD Radiosity is an application of the finite element method to solving the rendering equation for scenes(CAD and 3D) with surfaces that reflect light diffusely. Radiosity is a global illumination algorithm in the sense that the illumination arriving at the eye comes not just from the light sources, but all the scene surfaces interacting with each other as well. Also radiosity is a method of rendering based on detailed analysis of light reflections off diffuse 3D surfaces. It calculates diffuse reflections of color and light from all surfaces in a scene. Calculatiing it divides each surface into small pieces, called patches. Each patch is calculated individually for the amount of light that enters or leaves that surface. The program then solves the system of equations in the model by determining the quantity of light on each patch as a result of the total sum of all the patches. Radiosity calculations are viewpoint independent which increases the computations involved, but makes them useful for all viewpoints. Visit us:
