How to move from Prototyping into Testing!

Kyued Up Prototype + Test 3.15.14

E D I P T Empathize Define Ideate Prototype Test

1 minute Describe your solution and how it solves the problem.

What does (their) product do? How does (their) product work? What does it feel like to use (their) product? 1 minute

What does (their) product do? How does (their) product work? What does it feel like to use (their) product? Value Proposition BENEFITS FEATURES EXPERIENCE

Testing Guidelines Plan Define feedback desired Stay neutral Encourage interaction and changes Take notes

Create an Experience Map 5 minutes

Write the questions you want to answer for each “moment” 5 minutes

What kinds of prototypes will help you to answer each question? 5 minutes

3 minutes Which question needs to be answered first?

Begin Testing prototype

Keep iterating.

1. Create a brief video to explain the Value Proposition • How does this solution uniquely address/solve the problem? • What are the key aspects of the solution? • How do you know that those qualities are important to the user? (convenience, price, accessibility, etc.) 2. Create a prototype that shows how your solution works • Storyboard, video, drawings, etc. • When and how would they use it? (See Dropbox video) 3. Test prototype with users to get feedback • Take notes
