CONTEXT FOR TODAY • We build on 2 successful CLAHRCs – - Notts, Derby Lincs [NDL] & Leics, Northants, Rutland [LNR]  • Is what we know what we do? • Not enough of the time – but things are changing! • We launch today’s CLAHRC with high ambition • Key ingredients: • World class researchers • Focussed on long term conditions • Diffuse how to avoid, delay onset, ‘optimise’, improve health gain • Good leadership, diffusion, 55 Partners
