INTRODUCTION  The Morph is a concept device designed by Nokia and the United Kingdom's University of Cambridge which is a nanoscience centre.  It was Launched alongside The Museum of Modern Art “Design and The Elastic Mind” exhibition on 24 February 2008.  The Morph concept device is a bridge between highly advanced technologies and their potential benefits to end-users Cambridge University Nanoscience Center

NANOTECHNOLOGY Definition: Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the Molecular scale Two main approaches are used in nanotechnology. 1.bottom-up approach: materials and devices are built from molecular components which assemble themselves chemically by principles of molecular recognition. 2.Top-down approach: nano-objects are constructed from larger entities without atomic-level control

NANOTECHNOLOGY • When you use some device at Nano scale or you manufacture one at Nano scale • If the material or object is the range of 1 to 100 nanometers (nm), then it can be classified as a nanotechnology material. • If you divide one meter into one billion pieces, a single piece will constitute a Nano scale material.In scientific terms,1 nm is equal to one-billionth of a meter (.000000001 m). How small is 1 nm? well it is about 50,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair. ou

SENSING  Nokia Morph can interact with the surrounding environment and is capable of providing key information for anything from temperature changes to pollution i.e. Morph can sense its surrounding.  Nano sensors are used for this purpose and it empowers users to examine the environment around them in completely new ways, from analyzing air pollution, to gaining insight into biochemical traces and processes

1.ECO SENSOR CONCEPT ECOSENSOR CONCEPT CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS 1) A WEARABLE SENSOR UNIT THAT CAN ANALYZE LOCAL ENVIRONMENT AS WELL AS PERSONS HEALTH. 2) THE SECOND PART IS A POWER EFFICENT MOBILE PHONE NOKIA 3110 EVOLVE

2.HAPTIC SURFACE Touch sensitive and responsive (HAPTIC) surface of Nokia Morph is provided by large area sensing surfaces using piezoelectric nanowire arrays. ZnO nanowires are used to produce the piezoelectric nanowire arrays. Buttons on the device surface are in real 3D forms. FIG 7:- Haptic surface of Nokia Morph.

STRETCHABLE ELECTRONICS Stretchable electronics structure to allow device form factors. The Nano scale structure of the electronics enables stretching. Nanoscale internal structures controls the elasticity. INSIDE ELECTRONICS AT STRETCHABLE MODE

TRRAM • Transparent Resistive Random Access Memory (TRRAM) developed by Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) as the major platform for the transparent electronics concept of morph. • TRRAM records data by changing the resistance of a metal oxide film known as Resistive Ram. ADVANCED POWER SOURCES • Enhanced energy density batteries (quicker recharge ). • Polymer CNT composites with controlled conduction, nanotube • enhanced super capacitors and Nano composite solar cells etc acts as the power sources. • Nano enhanced dielectrics as separator and high power capacitors

Recycling: Utilization of biodegradable materials might make production and recycling of devices easier and ecologically friendly ADVANTAGES 1. STRETCHABLE AND FLEXIBLE ELECTRONICS. 2. TRANSPARENT ELECTRONICS. 3. SELF-CLEANING SURFACES. 4. IT CAN SENSE IT’S SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENT. 5. IT DRAWS POWER FROM THE SUN FOR RECHARGING.

LIMITATIONS 1.THE INITIAL MANUFACTURING COST IS VERY HIGH. 2. THE EXPECTED MARKET PRICE IS AROUND RS 60000. 3. STRETCHABLE BATTERIES HAVE NOT YET BEING DISCOVERED. FUTURE SCOPE 1. THE SHAPES COULD BE MADE MUCH SIMPLER LIKE IN RING SHAPE. 2. MORPH IN OPEN MODE COULD ACT AS A KEYBOARD FOR PC’S.Dept.

conclusion  According to the developers,using nanotechnology can lead to low cost manufacturing solutions as well as adjustable,empowering device.  The mobile device flexiable,strechable and shape change  So that they can be easily integrated in our everyday routines with out special adjustments on our part
