So we can get angry after all? • Anger at the afflictions • Attachment for the antidotes

At first it completely afflicts your mind

Causing you to err with regard to what you are observing

Reinforcing you propensities, and causing the same sort of affliction to recur

It may harm you others or both

It leads to misdeeds in this life, future lives or both

It creates experiences of pain and anguish, as well as the sufferings of birth and the like

It takes you far from nirvana

Your virtue is destroyed and your resources depleted

In society you feel apprehensive, joyless and devoid of confidence

Your notoriety spreads in all directions, and excellent persons such as teachers and protectors rebuke you

You die with regret, your aims unfulfilled

And after death you are reborn into a miserable realm

o Identification o Order in which they arise o Causes o Faults of the afflictions o Antidotes

Do we want to have high IQS?

Do we want to have high IQS? Identify Quickly stop the thinking Strongly apply the antidote

It is an impermanent mental event, occurring in an everchanging mental continuum, of an entity that is merely labelled “I”. Geshe Tashi Tsering, FBT course book

“Through that way, we develop some kind of attitude, all afflictive emotions [are] our inner enemy. And the supreme leader of that enemy is ignorance. So all our combat, effort, fighting, [is] with our inner enemy.”
