That was truly the need that iPod fulfills and why people buy iPod. They are not buying a “Music Player”.

They are buying the emotional ties that align with them — iPod is fun and it is cool and it is fantastic. That little thing does anything we want, music, internet, movies and what else?

But that market didn’t exist

Who are the customers ? Apple identified those who grew up on computers, lived for instant gratification and were passionate about music.

What are their values and priorities? They love their music.They live on their computers. Apple closed the loop with the introduction of iTunes that made immediate gratification possible, turning every computer into an instant checkout counter

Attracting customers through the products is easy, but to keep a customer into your ecosystem, is an art
