entangle Verb To entangle means to get tangled up with something. The sea turtle was entangled in a fishing net.
adaptations Noun An adaptation is something an plant/animal does to help it survive. A giraffe’s long neck is an adaptation that allows it to eat plants usually out of reach.
bog Noun An area of very wet spongy ground. We explored the bog and discovered a new species of frog.
nutrients Noun A nutrient is a mineral absorbed by the roots of plants to help it grow. The crops grew well because the soil was rich in nutrients.
tantalize Verb To tantalize is to tease someone with something that is out of reach. The smell of the brownies was tantalizing but mom said they were for company.
enzymes Noun An enzyme is a something made by living things that can change an object. Enzymes in your stomach help you digest food.
stimulates Verb If you stimulate a seed to grow you give it water. To stimulate a child to read you read to him/her and giver him/her books. Apple stimulates people’s interest in technology by having interesting commercials.
buoyant Adjective Something that is buoyant floats in water. The lily pad leaf is buoyant.
