If you want to hear it again, click the blue square at the right end of the line. You can click it again and again, as many times as you want to. You should practice repeating the line out loud yourself to improve your pronunciation and to help you remember. ( It MUST be out loud, it is much less effective to read the line silently, those who read the Hebrew out loud learn much faster than those who read silently, try it, you will see. First read silently and evaluate what it sounds like, then do it out loud, was it better , maybe worse?) The masculine and feminine forms are very similar to each other. This lesson covers only the masculine Cardinal numbers. The gender is determined by the gender of the noun being enumerated. Note that all of the nouns in the following examples are masculine (general) so the masculine form of the number is used. Slide51: Vocabulary Grammar Beginning Story Book Page 58 Modern Hebrew Lesson 11 End Exercises For numbers the addition of qamats-Hei is used to indicate masculine (just the opposite of what we have seen so far) The feminine form (which we will learn in lesson 16) is used for counting numbers.
