My Cancer journey presentation to the Melbourne Football Club. Part 2 of last years presentation.

Who am I? And My Story So Far....

MY Life before: I thought I was bullet proof enjoyed racing and training hard riding an averaging 200+km a week and 25km Running a week.

A ‘Gift.’

April 2012 Diagnosed Stage 3A Melanoma.

Carried a Drain Bag for two weeks after lymph node removal.

Home after three days in Hospital These beautiful girls and my wife are my motivation and fight to keep living they keep me going everyday.

Moved on with Life and thought all is ok.... Entered Melbourne Marathon to race the 10km My aim was to run sub 38min.

OCTOBER 2012 6 months since being told I had Stage 3a Melanoma-cancer.

October 2012 Scan Time...... Sc anxiety.

Scan Results showed four Brain Tumours

Within 6 Months i went from stage 3A to Stage 4C Cancer.

My home for the next month one of the hardest parts of all this was missing my family.

Battle Scars Bleed on the brain

Set Back with a return to hospital...Resilience tested again.

The ‘Game’ of Life and setting goals.....

Christmas- Dec. 2012 family and that’s all that matters. Being here for this was an achievement.

The other big Goal was to see our eldest child And second eldest go to school and kinder for the first time.

Support and team Mates....

Mateship...

One more set back and one in May 2013 once again made me value what is important...

Stats over the past 18 months • 20+ scans • 50+ needles • 25 blood tests • Oncologist twice a month • 2 Brain Surgeries • 1 Major Bowel surgery • 1 seizure •15 months on the miracle drug.

WORST STAT OF ALL For Stage 4C Patients 7-19% chance of making it to five years.

Stats That Count for me in this journey so far: What I have achieved and keep achieving:

I Didn’t think I’d be able to achieve Ridingtwo days of the De Cure in May 2013. the Tour Rode Tour de cure Riding 350km over two days. As a result of this Tour I was able to Raise Money for Cancer Research.

Back working Full time for another year.

My Journey is not over….. - Blood tests every four weeks. - Scans now every 3months. - Medication every day. - Stress of the unknown and that final siren.......

With Determination, Guts, Resilience and fight anything can be achieved. Most of you here have a journey and nothing should get in your way. Your journey Begins Now!
