Originated in requests from primary and secondary schools Substantial commitment on implementation from Primary schools in Year 1 and preparation / liaison from Secondary staff. Attainment Context : Attainment Context CEC Reading Scores above Scotland Reading scores CEC Writing scores above Scotland Writing Scores CEC Maths below Scotland Maths Scores Progress in Meeting Expected 5-14 Levels : Progress in Meeting Expected 5-14 Levels Continuity and Progression : Continuity and Progression Future learning built on secure foundations Introduction of Level B and C programme of studies Confirmation of attainment by National assessments at the completion of a level Record sheet of pupil attainment in assessments to be passed on at Transition Points Extended assessment material to be developed ? Learning and Teaching : Learning and Teaching Professional Judgement End of unit assessments to be used diagnostically Electronic ‘traffic light record sheet’ now available Methodology mental agility, problem solving, formative assessment strategies, advice in Learning for All and ICT Mental agility, problem solving and ICT support material will be further developed Learning and Teaching : Learning and Teaching Selective and appropriate use of a range of Resources One resource in isolation will not be suitable to effectively address all learning outcomes and pupil needs. Further Edinburgh Support Sheets have been developed for Level D and E. This will continue to be developed for B and C (available September 2005) Learning and Teaching : Learning and Teaching Pace of Learning through units Pupils should be secure with learning outcomes before progressing onto the next level. Once secure, they should progress at an appropriate rate. Pupil Self Evaluation sheets now included as part of programmes of study New Features in Enhanced Programmes of Study at D and E : New Features in Enhanced Programmes of Study at D and E Updated matching of core resources Learning Outcomes numbered Electronic versions of planners matched to Abacus, Collins, Teejay and Maths in Action.
