Marketing Policies By- Bengal Institute of Business Studies.
What is a MARKET? A market is any place where the sellers of a particular good or service can meet with the buyers of that goods and service where there is a potential for a transaction to take place. The buyers must have something they can offer in exchange for there to be a potential transaction. • • It need not always be a physical one, it may be the internet where the buyers and sellers interact and conduct their business.
Online Marketing • Online marketing has emerged as a very potent weapon for the marketers in the world today. • This is mainly because of the huge chunk of customers who are online and on social networks. • They are online and are willing to spend on the purchases using electronic media of payments. • Social media marketing is developing at a very fast rate and is shaping up the strategies of the corporates who are willing to shift from the traditional modes of marketing to newer trends.
Consumer Oriented. • The consumer oriented approach suggests that the businesses put their prime emphasis on the customers. Here the customer’s demand is always the highest. The customer is always right and their suggestions are used to develop the business and the products further. • The main aim of the company is to take care of the customer satisfaction and to develop a base of loyal customers who do not shift to their competitors.
Sales Oriented • Sales oriented approach to marketing emphasizes the most on the sales figures of the company. Their main is to solely increase the sales of the company. • For this, the company takes on aggressive sales policies to create an impulsive demand of the customers which causes them to purchase the goods swayed by the high rate of offers and promotions. • Although the aims and goals of the company are reached, the consumer welfare is not looked upon.
