Description

We’ve all been there. We meticulously packed our small carry on luggage bag just so assuring that we would have anything and everything we needed for that long flight with the kids. Then, as luck would have it, we found ourselves quickly realizing (or being told by an angry flight attendant) that our bag just wouldn’t fit, sending the suitcase into the abyss… or as travelers have come to know it – the bag check.

Before you leave on another adventure use these easy, creative tips to make sure that your small carry on luggage doesn’t end up on the conveyer belt that eats suitcases for lunch.

Don’t Go Nuts Packing things you just won’t need are what causes so many disheartening trips to the baggage claim. Think about what will be available to you on the flight. Drinks are best left for stewardess carts not only because they take up a lot of space but because airlines are buckling down more and more on open containers and liquids in general. Drinks take up a lot of space in your small carry on luggage and airlines don’t allow large open containers Think About What Will Make Your Flight Easier If you are traveling with kids you will want to make sure that you carry everything you will need on the flight. For babies, a pacifier or bottle will help to keep their little ears from being overly filled with pressure. This can be very painful for little guys and gals especially those under 2. Avoid carrying lots of toys. Instead carry toys that will provide more than a few minutes of entertainment like an iPad, a portable DVD player or a simple coloring book and crayons. Avoid carrying loads of toys – instead carry toys such as a portable DVD player, that will provide more than a few minutes entertainment Fold with Focus The way you pack your small carry on luggage will make all the difference in the amount of things you can fit. For instance, if you are carrying clothes for your kids just in case of a spill don’t fold them in the traditional sense. Instead, roll any fabrics into tubes. Not only will they make more room for other things but they will also come out looking wrinkle free and ready to move from plane to vacation with no effort at all. Don’t let your necessity-wielding small carry on luggage become a lumpy carried out suitcase. Use your noggin, by creative and pack smart. When you combine these three rules, you’ll never find yourself wondering “Dude… where’s my luggage?” Copyright © 2014 BestCarryOnLuggageGuide.net | All rights reserved Roll any fabrics into tubes – this will make more room and they will come out wrinkle free
