LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE To have fun To have a pleasant free time To working together To meet other people To help our self in difficult situations To help other people We learn thinks to go on camp to go sailing en go on adventure But: “how can we use this in our social live?” LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE In Scouting they learn the basic principles on different area’s, but how can they use this to find a job with here interest in nautical background? Look around in the nautical world. Think about : Project and building a ship from different materials, wood, steel, polyester You need: designers, carpenters, painters, metal workers, electricians and so on When the ship go sailing: you need harbour facility; a radio and radar post Facility to send the cargo; or to know the weather conditions In free time and holidays then there are the watersport facility‘s You see so many different activity’s on the ship or on the watersides LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE Nautical schools and company’s . The schools have a “open day” to show here training facility’s; the visitors can look and try the show attractions. The company’s arrange a “careers guidance“; information about jobs and show of the different possibility’s Sometimes is it possible to visit a shipyard or other company LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE There are 11 chapters. Shipping Shipbuilding Marine equipment Offshore Inland navigation Dredging (building bridges, locks) Ports Maritime services Fishing Yachting -The Royal navy LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE Activity’s of the projects: First: use the interesting from the young people about internet and computer facility’s to make a activity plan visit “open day activity’s of nautical and navy schools visit a ship yard and launching of a ship visit a nautical company visit the nautical and navy events, like Sail Amsterdam, Hiswa make contact with other sea scouts and work together on the project make a trip, a hike, with your sea scout boat and make a report in your Logbook do a couple of scouting sea scout skills and work to the Bleu sea scout flag. LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE The sponsor The sponsor give help to produce the book and give us the money o the production of the Logbook with a flag and T-shirt And the sails how to win when you send your Logbook to a jury The sponsor give us also facility’s to visit the nautical events. It’s a appointment to 3 years. LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE Jury To give promotion and support to the project do we make a game of it With couple of sea scouts make the best report in the Logbook They have to send here Logbook to a jury: every year after 15 September The Jury make a judgement and we make a funny day with the members of the project. I hope so with a boat to a offshore island! LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE The Bleu flag to sea scouts. Members: A crew of 6 sea scouts with a here own sea scout boat Rules: . the crew of sea scouts have to maintain here own boat in wintertime and sailing time . five members of the crew have to know the rowing commands . four members of the crew use the skills tot the badge Cano, rowing and sailing. . Other crew members need a certificate to be responsible to sailing with a crew, to first help and rescue swimming the crew make a hike with here boat: sea scouts 3 days; senior scouts 5 days and the older scouts (18-23 years) 7 days. They sleeping in the boat or in a small tent. . In the Logbook, they make a report of the hike, with nautical information about weather conditions, compass information and descriptions about nature and the visit of villages and other adventure The activity’s take a minimum time of 6 months and a maximum of a year LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE In de time of the project: one person of the staff is the coach of the crew registration to the Regional Admiralty the crew make a “plan of approach” about instructions and when they like to make the hike engagement about control presentation from the crew on the end of the activity’s a official meeting to give the Bleu flag when everything is alright LOGBOOK RAMBLE:  LOGBOOK RAMBLE Group discussion about the “Logbook ramble” 1.
