Let the Peace of God Rule: Let the Peace of God Rule (Col 3:14 KJV) And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. (Col 3:15 KJV) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (Col 3:16 KJV) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (Pro 25:28 KJV) He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. 1. Not as Cain: 1. Not as Cain (1Jn 3:12 KJV) Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. (1Jn 3:13 KJV) Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. (1Jn 3:14 KJV) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. (1Jn 3:15 KJV) Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (1Jn 3:16 KJV) Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (1Jn 3:17 KJV) But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? (1Jn 3:18 KJV) My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. (1Jn 3:19 KJV) And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. (1Jn 3:20 KJV) For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. (1Jn 3:21 KJV) Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God . 2. The Eyes of the Children: 2. The Eyes of the Children ( Num 20:3 KJV) And the people chode with Moses, and spake , saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the LORD! ( Num 20:4 KJV) And why have ye brought up the congregation of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there? ( Num 20:5 KJV) And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. ( Num 20:6 KJV) And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. ( Num 20:7 KJV) And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, ( Num 20:8 KJV) Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. ( Num 20:9 KJV) And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. ( Num 20:10 KJV) And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? ( Num 20:11 KJV) And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. ( Num 20:12 KJV) And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them . 3. Blot out My Transgressions: 3. Blot out My Transgressions ( Psa 51:1 KJV) To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. ( Psa 51:2 KJV) Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. ( Psa 51:3 KJV) For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. ( Psa 51:4 KJV) Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest , and be clear when thou judgest . ( Psa 51:5 KJV) Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. ( Psa 51:6 KJV) Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. ( Psa 51:7 KJV) Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. ( Psa 51:8 KJV) Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. ( Psa 51:9 KJV) Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. ( Psa 51:10 KJV) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me . 4. Come and Dine: 4. Come and Dine (Joh 21:12 KJV) Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord. (Joh 21:13 KJV) Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. (Joh 21:14 KJV) This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. (Joh 21:15 KJV) So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. (Joh 21:16 KJV) He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. (Joh 21:17 KJV) He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. (Joh 21:18 KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest : but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. (Joh 21:19 KJV) This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. (Joh 21:20 KJV) Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? (Joh 21:21 KJV) Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do ? 5. Focused on The Heavenly Vision: 5. Focused on The Heavenly Vision (Act 26:19 KJV) Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: (Act 26:20 KJV) But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. (Act 26:21 KJV) For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me. (Act 26:22 KJV) Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: (Act 26:23 KJV) That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. (Act 26:24 KJV) And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. (Act 26:25 KJV) But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness. (Act 26:26 KJV) For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner. (Act 26:27 KJV) King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest . (Act 26:28 KJV) Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian . 6. Our Charge Before God: 6. Our Charge Before God (2Ti 4:1 KJV) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; (2Ti 4:2 KJV) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. (2Ti 4:3 KJV) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; (2Ti 4:4 KJV) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2Ti 4:5 KJV) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. (2Ti 4:6 KJV) For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. (2Ti 4:7 KJV) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (2Ti 4:8 KJV) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. (2Ti 4:9 KJV) Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: (2Ti 4:10 KJV) For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia .
