Why? Doing “school” is changing more rapidly all the time. Technology is certainly one factor in these changes in education In the workplace In life in general. Students are more visually orientated and are now considered digital natives . Educators understand this and there is a need to re-define good teaching in response to this more dynamic environment. All agree that we must all expand our teaching/coaching/collaboration skills.

Who? Us! A steering committee made up of individuals representing founding schools that started this process, in some cases, over two years ago. Interested others that now form the larger committee of supporters. Everyone is welcome to be involved and we’ll find a job for everyone that wants one.

Recently she took a leave of absence from her district office position to complete her doctorate in educational, planning, policy and leadership at The College of William and Mary.

His work takes him from Singapore to Sweden and inspires teachers to challenge students at a high level of rigor. Jamie is the Editor of "From Now On - The Educational Technology Journal,“ and a new journal - "The Question Mark." In both publications he explores both the practical and the possible, grounding his work in classroom realities. In the early nineties, Jamie was the Director of Libraries, Media and Technology for the Bellingham (WA) Public Schools, a district of 18 schools and 10,000 students where he helped to pioneer their networking and program development. He has moved on to support planning and professional development for schools around the world. If you are a teacher or tech. director looking to present on a topic that you are qualified to present, you should submit a proposal. The steering committee will approve all speakers prior to the event. There is a possibility of discounts on conference registration for presenters. The specifics of this will be determined upon confirmation of your presentation.
