Brief Introduction to LB Prakash Sahavikasa/CDF Background: A development professional who worked with MicroSave , EDA, MCRIL, CARE, CDF and APMAS. Currently Consultant on Microfinance and Livelihoods. Also, co-promoter of Krushi Financial Services, Karimnagar, Hindusthan Microfinance Private Limited, Mumbai and Secretary, Akshara. Microfinance Background: Almost two decades of implementation, management and consulting experience with microfinance sector, along with agricultural producers cooperatives and HIV/AIDS interventions. He specialises in institution building and governance, feasibility and risk assessment, project appraisals, financial modelling and NGO partnerships. Worked on training, systems design, research and evaluation for a range of donors. Based in Hyderabad, considered as the Mecca of microfinance in India, provided technical assistance to a variety of microfinance institutions throughout India, and in Myanmar, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Switzerland and Ghana. Handled major projects for UNDP-UNOPS, CGAP, WFP, MISFA, ImpAct, IFRC, Grameen Foundation, CECI etc. Certified trainer in various MicroSave toolkits and CGAP trainings. Piloted concepts – PPI, QAT, SPM; Developed Social Rating methodology for M-CRIL and SPM methodology for MicroSave . Worked in Myanmar, with a UNDP-UNOPS project for developing local capacities and handover to the local staff. Managed the project and managed the handover process.
