This is a public notice to Korean employees of the United States Forces Korea (USFK) and to any labor unions representing Korean employees of the USFK. This notice is provided based on provisions of ROK Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act. The notice period is seven days from 26 February 2014 to 4 March 2014.

References: a. Labor Management Agreement between USFK and the USFK Korean Employees Union (KEU) , 27 September 2011 . b. ROK Trade Union and Labor Relations Adjustment Act. 2. Request attached public notice be provided to all your serviced organizations requesting the notice be posted on bulletin boards for Korean employees several days before and several days after the notice period shown on the notice. It is also requested the posting of the public notice be publicized as widely as feasible . 3. The reference 1b, above, requires employers to put out a public notice to all employees when a labor union requests bargaining with the employer and requests designation of a representative bargaining union . The USFK Korean Employees Union (KEU) has requested bargaining on matters shown on the public notice and requested designation of the KEU as the representative bargaining union. The posting of the notice on bulletin boards accessible to Korean employees and publicizing the notice to Korean employees are to comply with the reference 1b, above, and Article XVII, US-ROK SOFA 4.
