2. More About PCR: • Majority of test being used to test COVID19 are genetic tests known as “PCR Tests’. • This test seems to be accurate up to 97 %, because even if there’s only a tiny amount of virus present in a patient sample PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) is able to check genetic material from the virus, target specific gene segments that only that virus has and make a very large segment of copies of those segments so that hey can be detected and measured. • This test only tells your current status of COVID not of past. • Results can be delivered in 3- 6 hours ©AshutoshMIshra-linkedin.com/in/Aforashu

3. More About Antibody Tests: • Also known as SEROLOGY TESTS • Mostly conducted when there is NO SYMPTOMS • To check Past Infections • IMMUNE response • Anti- bodies are proteins which are produced by Immune System in response to any infection and are specific to infection. They are found in the liquid part of Blood called Serum or Plasma • IMMUNOGLOBULIN M (IgM) - First type of antibody produced in response to any infection • It is detectable from 4-7 days of Infection • IgM are short living and their presence signals a new infections at present A serology blood test is performed to detect and measure the levels of antibodies as a result of exposure to a bacteria or virus. When people are exposed to bacteria or viruses (antigens), their body's immune system produces specific antibodies against the organism. ©AshutoshMIshra-linkedin.com/in/Aforashu

4. • IMMUNOGLOBULIN G (IgG): - Sustained for longer time • Key to lasting Immunity • It clarifies if the patient has COVID in past and whether his body has developed antibody or not ©AshutoshMIshra-linkedin.com/in/Aforashu
