He sat down and was teaching them,3When the scribes and Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery. They made her stand in the middle of the court and put the case before Him.4Teacher, they said, This woman has been caught in the very act of adultery.5Now Moses in the Law commanded us that such [women--offenders] shall be stoned to death. But what do You say [to do with her--what is Your sentence]?(A)6This they said to try (test)Him, hoping they might find a charge on which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger.7However, when they persisted with their question, He raised Himself up and said, Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.8Then He bent down and went on writing on the ground with His finger.9They listened to Him, and then they began going out, conscience-stricken, one by one, from the oldest down to the last one of them, till Jesus was left alone, with the woman standing there before Him in the center of the court.10When Jesus raised Himself up, He said to her, Woman, where are your accusers? Has no man condemned you?11She answered, No one, Lord! And Jesus said, I do not condemn you either. Go on your way and from now on sin no more. Example 2- Mock religious trial of Jesuswww.biblegateway.com : Example 2- Mock religious trial of Jesuswww.biblegateway.com Mark 14:55-66 (Amplified Bible) Amplified Bible (AMP) 55Now the chief priests and the entire council (the Sanhedrin) were constantly seeking [to get] testimony against Jesus with a view to condemning Him and putting Him to death, but they did not find any.56For many were repeatedly bearing false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree.57And some stood up and were bearing false witness against Him, saying,58We heard Him say, I will destroy this temple (sanctuary) which is made with hands, and in three days I will build another, made without hands.59Still not even [in this] did their testimony agree.60And the high priest stood up in the midst and asked Jesus, Have You not even one answer to make? What [about this which] these [men] are testifying against You?61But He kept still and did not answer at all. Again the high priest asked Him, Are You the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), the Son of the Blessed?62And Jesus said, I AM; and you will [all] see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power ([a]the Almighty) and coming on the clouds of heaven.(A)63Then the high priest tore his garments and said, What need have we for more witnesses?(B)64You have heard His blasphemy. What is your decision? And they all condemned Him as being guilty and deserving of death.(C)65And some of them began to spit on Him and to blindfold Him and to strike Him with their fists, saying to Him, Prophesy! And the guards received Him with blows and by slapping Him. Conclusions : Conclusions Generally, Accusers are related to false witnesses, messengers or prophets, liars, slanderers, gossips, backbiters, cowards, oppressors, persecutors and haters in general. Why? The bible shows us that their intent is more often than not evil as the bible tells us in Proverbs and many other biblical verses that ‘love or true motives covers or protects- even a multitude of sins’ and so the heart intent of revealing sins as such is usually slanderous and also from evil projection and as such is indicative of the evil of these accusers themselves even if there is any truth in it. God judges these sins as such as projection quite harshly as those with a truly self-serving agenda- especially towards the innocent they are accusing whose works will evidence a contrary record to these slanderous accusations –( but often even with the guilty so be careful ). God looks on the evil intentions of the heart towards the other of these false accusers and slanderers often of the righteous and the innocent- just as they did with Jesus. Jesus warns all believers that they will experience their fair share of this but to be comforted as He will use even our slanderous enemies to perfect and craft us in to Christlike saints glorified in the end- and that He will also avenge our enemies and vindicate us in the end. We must be careful about blaming and judgements and inclined towards mercy ourselves and to protect rather than accuse- or God will condemn the accusers along with satan et al in the end. www.champsbibleschool.org : www.champsbibleschool.org
