(Yâhuwshúa`) is His Son [Al-u-heem - ALHYM] means "Mighty Ones“ or "Power" means Set-apart, Pure. (Qodesh) also means "Set-apart" Ruwach (Spirit) is the Ibry (Hebrew) name for His "Presence", pictured as the Counselor, Helper, and Advocate, the One Who "proceeds from the Father" Tehillim 27:5 For in the day of trouble He will keep me secretly in His booth. In the covering of His Tent He will hide me. On a Rock He raises me up. is for you too!
Scripture speaks of a secret place where we can simply go, be alone, be protected, pray, and hear from Yahuahshua. Knowing there is such a place is a matter of faith. Going back time and again, that's a matter of building a relationship. You need not have an advanced degree in any subject, need not have memorized Scripture from beginning to end, but instead be aware the Yâ-hwuah of Y’sra’al has a place for each Jew and Gentile who will open their minds and hearts to Him. Mt 6:5-8 When you pray, you shall not be as the role-fakers, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father Who is in secret, and your Father Who sees in secret shall reward you openly. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don’t be like them, don't you see that your Father knows what things you need before you ask Him. The truth in reality is visited in this secret place AND must be shared by those who will live or else ... they will perish ... in darkness. It is written Lu 11:33 “No one, when he has lit a Lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, that those who come in may see the Light. Tehillim. 119:105 Your Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light (aur) for my path.
The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of Light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of Light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of Light, as when the Lamp with its bright shining gives you Light.” The menorah is the only symbol created by Yâhuwshúa` With this in mind, heart soul and strength let us study together in the Ruwach And now brothers and sisters Come out of the secret place bearing light! who see it from afar. The Secret Place, here, shines a bit of light so many can see from afar. The topics we have chosen are addressed to Jew and Gentile together. We do this because that is what the Bible does. This opens the window to make more sense of what Scripture tells us! In the secret place is plain language, something simple to read. This is a mere starting place for deeper consideration.
April 1#- 2nd Passover/Phâ´çech (Tues to Wed) * April 3rd-9th April Feast of Unleavened Bread (Thurs-wed) May 2nd Second Passover/Phâ´çech (Friday) # = to observe Passover/Phâ´çech meal on Tuesday night after sunset and note that the Mashiyach was crucified at 12 Noon the next day on Wednesday and died at 3:00PM that same Wednesday afternoon. *= is a High Sabbath observed starting at sunset the night before (this is to be observed similar to a regular Sabbath but keeping in mind the significance of the Feast being Observed). Most Christians today believe that we don't have to keep the law or the Feast Days anymore. But what does the HaMashiyach say Mattiyahu 19:17* But if you desire to enter into the life of the world to come, observe the commandments of the mighty One.”
Heb, Why do you ask about excellence (or distinguished things)? No man is excellent; Äl is the one who is excellent. Want to: have in mind, intend to. YirmeYahuw 6:16 Thus says Ya-hwuah, “Stand in the Ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘where the good Way is; and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your beings. But they said, ‘We shall not walk in it.’ Ask whom? Ya-hwuah gives wisdom to those who need it. Ya'aqob 1:5 Yet if anyone of you may lack wisdom, let him ask it from the mighty Ones, Who gives freely to all those who ask, and does not reproach, and it shall be given to him. Old: or eternal. Settledness for your souls: Compare Yâhuwshúa’’s promise of “rest for your souls” Matt. 11:28 Come towards Me, all ye that labor and are burdened [with human traditions], and I will give you satisfaction [justification/salvation/ righteousness]! Loaded down: One of the blessings expected of the Messianic age was the giving of rest to the weary pious. (Lachs; cf. I Enoch 48:4; Pesikta Rabbati 32) His own fellow Jews at the time of the Second Temple were laden heavily with halakhah that was given the same weight as Torah in many people's minds, being based not on simply building a fence around the Torah, but on fences around fences around fences, and it was too much for any but the very wealthy to sustain. They needed his interpretation of the Torah, which cut to the heart of the matter and emphasized the fact that it was all about loving Ya-hwuah and one's
fellow, not about being spectacularly religious. Refresh you: Shem-Tov, help you bear your yoke. Matt. 11:29. Take up My yoke My yoke: In that day, "to declare [Yâ-hwuah’s] oneness was seen...as 'accepting the yoke of the Kingdom' and 'the yoke of the commandments'. So at issue here is how this Judaism, like others, will form a way of life that expresses [Yâ-hwuah’s] rule over the everyday realm of the here and now." (Neusner) Yahshua formulated a halakhah ("way of walking") that could fit the conditions of our exile. Hence his, like that of the P'rushim (which was codified as Rabbinic Judaism) was able to continue after the destruction of the Temple. However, his provided a more effective atonement that could bridge the gap until the prescribed sacrifices can begin again and all the vivid pictures of what atonement means are restored. (cf. Refreshment for your souls: a quote from Yirmeyahu 6:16, where it relates to seeking out the ancient path and walking in it. Yahshua was bringing that to those from the Northern Kingdom who had gone off into idolatry and exile. Thus following Yahshua means turning back to what came from heaven before him, not turning from it, as many teach today. Matt.11. 25 At that time, responding, Yâhuwshúa` said: “I publicly acknowledge you, ’Avíy [My Father], Sovereign of the heaven and earth because You did hide these things from the experts and the scholars, and did reveal them to the untaught! Scholars: "who encrypts these sayings for sages and intellectuals." (BenDavid) Born yesterday: Heb., peta'im, the simple and inexperienced. This was used as an epithet for those who were not Rabbinically trained and knew "only" Torah. (Nadler); Heb., those lightly esteemed; Aramaic, those barely birthed. 11 Matt. 11:26. Yes, ’Avíy [My Father], because thus was your desire! Matt. 11:27. And He turned towards His pupils, and He said to them: My Father delivered all things to Me, so no one acknowledges the Son except the Father; nor does anyone acknowledge the Father except the Son, and the one whomever the Son may intend to disclose Him to. Delivered all things to Me: "The revealed knowledge bestowed by [YAHWUAH] on the Teacher of Righteousness and communicated to the initiates... lies at the heart of the theology of the [Dead Sea] Scrolls." (Vermes) No one fully understands: Ben-David, "Absolutely no man is an intimate of the Son except [he also be an intimate of] the Father." Except the Son: Even Moshe, who spoke with Him face to face (Ex. 33:11) did not have as close a relationship to Ya-hwuah, who says He is well-pleased with this uniquely-favored Son. (17:5) Whomever: From his next statements we see just whom this is. The Son: Heb., a son.
Let this rest upon you and learn from Me, because I am a gentle humble One and downcast in heart, and ye shall find a rest-haven for your lives [souls]. Matt. 11:30. For My yoke is useful and My task is easy.” My task is easy: The picture is of a yoke that is adjustable so that the larger, more experienced animal bears the burden of the one in training, working at the weaker one's pace rather than showing off its greater capability. Yahshua is certainly thinking of the incident in 1 Kings 12 in which Rehav'am told those of the northern kingdom that he would not lighten his father's yoke, but make it even more rigid. When Yahshua came to reunite the tribes of Israel, he, as heir to David's throne, he made amends for Shlomoh's and Rehav'am's failures in this regard. The last phrase could also be translated, "an intermission so you can catch your breath"--exactly what these people were asking for. His followers, when the time had fully come to start bringing the descendants of the exiled northern tribes back into Torah, also recognized that they should not lay too heavy a burden on them, but let them start with the essentials and build their Torah-keeping muscles at a healthy pace until they could handle heavier loads that would certainly come as they matured. (Acts 15:19ff) Yâhuwchânâ´n. 14:6 Yâhuwshúa` says to him: “ . No one comes towards the Father, if not through Me.
Way, truth, and life: Avi ben Mordekhai points out that each of these is an idiom for the Torah, because he was "fleshing out the Torah" by doing what it says. We, too, can follow that pathway. Yâhuwchânâ´n. 14:7. If ye have acknowledged Me, ye have also acknowledged My Father; yet from now on ye do acknowledge Him, and ye do discern Him.” Deeds 9:2 He asked from him letters for Dammâ´seq to the assemblies so that if he should find any who are of “The Way”, both men and women, he might put them in shackles and bring them to Yruwshâláim. Deeds 19:9. But when certain ones were hardened and rebelliously refused to be persuaded, slandering of the Way of Yâ-hwéh in the sight of the assembly of the people, Páulus departed from them, and he separated the pupils, daily speaking to them within the school of a certain Túrannos. Deeds 19:23; And during that season there occurred a great riot about The Way of Yâ-hwuah. Deeds 24:14 However, this I do confess to you, that according to The Way, which they call a “sect”, thus I do serve the mighty Ones of their Fathers, as I believe all the things which have been written throughout the Law and the Predicators, They pointed many back to it, but again the reunited Ysra'al did not continue in the direction He intended. But again He is bringing many back to it today, for which we praise Him. We will never find
settledness when seeking security directly, but if we seek Yâ-hwuah’s kingdom, everything else we need will be provided. Mat. 6:33 But seek ye firstly the Kingdom of Yâ-hwuah and His rectification (righteousness), and all these things shall be added to you. Kingdom: or dominion. Righteousness: in this context, it probably refers to meeting others' needs though it may apply more generally. But Yâhuwshúa` was speaking more directly against those who loaded people down with unnecessary restrictions that went far beyond the intent of the Torah. (Mat. 12 next study) Indeed, one can hardly feel settled when he is always wondering whether his obedience is accepted or not. But YirmeYahuw audience was off the scale of obedience altogether: How to stay within His Love and be a friend of Yâ-hwuah Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 9. Just as the Father affectionately loved Me, I also affectionately love you: stay within My affectionate Love. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 10. If ye observe My commandments, ye stay within My affectionate Love, just as I have observed the commandments of My Father, and stay within His affectionate Love. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 11.
I have told you these things in order that My joy might stay within you, and your joy might be complete. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 12. This is My commandment: that ye affectionately love one another just as I have affectionately loved you. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 13. No one has greater affectionate love than this: that One should lay down His Self (life) for His friends. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 14. Ye are My friends, if ye perform whatever I command you. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 15. No longer do I call you bondmen, for the bondman does not understand what his Sovereign is doing. Now I have called you “friends”, because I made known to you all things that I have heard from My Father. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 16. Ye did not choose Me; instead I chose you, and have appointed you, in order that ye should progress and ye should bear fruit [To the `Ivríym 13: 15-16], and your fruit might stay, in order that whatever ye may ask My Father by My name [Yâhuwshúa`] He may grant for you. Yâhuwchânâ´n 15: 17. I command you these things so that ye may affectionately love one another. Sin: definition, solution we are told,
So if you don't keep the law you become a transgressor of the law or in plain language – And if you don't admit that you have sinned, For the HaMashiyach died that we may have the remission and forgiveness of our sins. 1 Yâhuwchânâ´n 3:4. Everyone performing sin, also lawlessness performs, for sin is lawlessness. 1 Yâhuwchânâ´n 3:5. And ye do discern that He was manifested in order that He might bear away our sins, yet there is not a sin in Him. 1 Yâhuwchânâ´n 3:6. Everyone staying in Him does not sin. Everyone sinning has not seen Him, nor has acknowledged Him. 1 Yâhuwchânâ´n 3:7. My sons, let no one cause you to wander astray! The one performing justification is righteous, just as the Anointed is righteous. So it is very clear that we are to keep Yahuah's Laws. But if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father through the blood of the HaMashiyach. The Feast Days are directly linked to the HaMashiyach. Let's look at the Passover/Phâ´çech as an example.
Paul writes Bread of clear purity and Truth 1 Qorinthíym 5:7 Therefore purge out the old ferment, in order that ye may be a new lump of dough, since ye are Matstsówth (“sweetness” [unfermented]). For also our Phâ´çech (Exemption [“Passover/Phâ´çech”]) is the Anointed One Who was slaughtered instead of us. Of clear purity and Truth 1 Qorinthíym 5: 8. Consequently, we should celebrate the feast, not with old ferment, nor with ferment of malice and depravity, instead with Matstsówth (“sweetness” [unfermented]) bread of clear purity and Truth. Paul writes And how important is it for us to keep the Passover/Phâ´çech ?, Yâhuwchânâ´n 6:53. Therefore Yâhuwshúa` said to them: “’Âmë´n, ’âmë´n (Certainly) I say to you, unless ye shall have [spiritually] eaten the flesh of the Son of ’Âthâ´m and shall have [spiritually] drunk His blood, ye do not have Life in yourselves. Yâhuwchânâ´n 6:54. He who [spiritually] eats of My flesh and drinks My blood possesses endless life, and I will raise him up at the Last Day; Yâhuwchânâ´n 6:55.
For My flesh truly is food and My blood truly is a drink. Yâhuwchânâ´n 6:56. He who [spiritually] eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides within Me and I within him. What did HaMashiyach observe before He died? HaMashiyach observed Phâ´çech/Passover/Phâ´çech before He died, as it is written in Mattiyahu 26:17 And on the day before the Feast of unfermented breads the pupils approached Yâhuwshúa`, saying to Him: “Where do You wish we should prepare for You to eat the Phâ´çech?” Mattiyahu 26:18.*** And He said: “Go ye into the city to such a one, and say to him,‘ The Instructor says: “My season is near Romans 5: 6. For when we were yet strength less, during the feast season the Anointed died for the irreverent. Romans 3: 25 Whom the Mighty Ones placed above the lid of the box (ark) , for an evident sign of His rectification through the belief in His blood, thereby Passing-Over the sins that had taken place beforehand,
Romans 3:26. In the place that the Mighty Ones gave it to us by the self-restraint of Yâ-hwuah towards an evident sign of His rectification (righteous) in the present feast season for His being just, and towards justifying him that is from the belief of our Sovereign, Yâhuwshúa` the Deliverer. Whom the Mighty Ones placed above the lid of the box (ark) , for an evident sign of His rectification (righteousness) through the belief in His blood, thereby Passing-Over the sins that had taken place beforehand,In the place that the Mighty Ones gave it to us by the selfrestraint of Yâ-hwuah towards an evident sign of His rectification/( righteousness) in the present feast season for His being just, and towards justifying him that is from the belief of our Sovereign, Yâhuwshúa` the Deliverer. where is the lodge where I might eat the Phâ´çech with My pupils, so for you I will do the Phâ´çech (Exemption)?” And he will show you a ready, and furnished, large upper room. There prepare for us.’” Márquwç 14: 14 And wherever he might enter, say to the homeowner: “Our Instructor says:‘ My season is near; where is the lodge where I might eat the Phâ´çech with My pupils, so for you I will do the Phâ´çech (Exemption)?’” Mattiyahu 26:19. And the pupils did as Yâhuwshúa` directed them, and prepared for the Phâ´çech.
And what did HaMashiyach command us in how to keep the Passover/Phâ´çech ? HaMashiyach tells us, Mattiyahu 26:26. And as they were eating, Yâhuwshúa` having taken the bread, and having blessed, broke and gave it to the pupils, and said: “Take, eat; this means My body, which is given for your sake. Perform this for the remembrance of Me.” Luwqá’ 22: 17 And having taken unfermented bread, having given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying: „Take, eat; this means My body, which is given for your sake. Perform this for the remembrance of Mattiyahu 26:27. And having taken the cup, and having given thanks, He gave to them saying:“ Take ye this and distribute among yourselves, Luwqá’ 22: 18 And having received a cup, having given thanks, He said: “Take ye this and distribute among yourselves, Drink ye all from it, Mattiyahu 26:28. For this means My blood, that of the New Covenant, which for your sake Luwqá’ 22: 20.
Likewise also, He having taken the cup after having dined, said:“ This is the cup of the New Covenant within My blood, which for your sake concerning many is poured out for liberation from sins. [But ’âmë´n (certainly) I say to you that I will not drink at all henceforth of this, the fruit of the vine, until that Day when I drink it with you anew in the Kingdom of My Father.” concerning many is poured out for liberation from sins. To fully understand Passover/Phâ´çech , we have to pull together other scriptures related to it. Yâhuwchânâ´n 12:1 Therefore, six days before the Phâ´çech (Exemption), Yâhuwshúa` came to Bëyth-`Aníy, where ’El`âzâ´r, who had died was, whom He raised from the dead. we know that the haMashiyach had supper with Lazarus 6 days before the Passover/Phâ´çech which would have been Friday night on the 9th Day of the 1st Month. The next day, the 10th Day of the 1st Month, haMashiyach made His triumphant entry into Yahrushalom riding on the colt of an ass. The Lamb’s Festal Procession Date: 10 `Avíyv –
Yâhuwchânâ´n 12:12. Date: 10 `Avíyv – And on another morning a great crowd who came unto the feast, when they heard:“ Yâhuwshúa` is coming to Yruwshâláim!” Yâhuwchânâ´n 12:13. Took branches of the palms and went out to meet Him, and were screaming: “’Ânnâ´’ (Oh, now) Yâ-hwuah! Howshíy`â´h nnâ´! (Deliver us now!) ’Ânnâ´’ Yâ-hwuah! Cause us to break out now! Bâ´ruwkh há-bâ b-shë´m Yâ-hwuah! (Blessed is the One coming by the name of Yâ-hwuah!) […We, from the house of Yâ-hwuah, bless You. Yâ-hwuah is the mighty One, and He shined light on us; join the festal procession with boughs, up to the horns of the altar! Tehillim 118: 25-27 Save us now, we beg You, O Ya-hwuah! O Ya-hwuah, we beg You, send prosperity now. Tehillim 118:26 Blessed is He Who is coming in haShem of Ya-hwuah!
[Mattiyahu 23:29] (repeated 6 times in the Messianic Scriptures - 7 times in all.) We shall bless you from the House of Ya-hwuah. Tehillim 118:27 Ya-hwuah is Aluahiym, and He has given us Light. Bind the slaughter with cords, even to the horns of the altar. Mélekh Yisrâ’Ä´l! (The King of Yisrâ’Ä´l!)” Yâhuwchânâ´n 12:14. Now Yâhuwshúa`, having found a little donkey, sat upon it, just as it is written: Yâhuwchânâ´n 12:15. “Rejoice greatly, Daughter of Tsiyyówn! Shout, Daughter of Yruwshâláim! Here is your King! He comes to you, righteous and having salvation; He is lowly, and mounted upon a donkey, even upon a colt, a son of beasts of burden.” [ZkharYâ´hu 9:9] Rejoice greatly, daughter of Tsiyown! Shout, daughter of Yahrushalom! Behold, your Sovereign comes to you! He is righteous, and having deliverance; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. On a donkey: as opposed to a horse. This indicates that His chief purpose is to serve those He rules, not show off His royal esteem.
(Luke 22:25) Both Yahuwdah (Ber. 49:11) and Efrayim (Hos. 8) are both described as donkeys in Scripture. Yâhuwchânâ´n 12:16. But His pupils did not recognize these things at first, rather, when Yâhuwshúa` was honored, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they did these things to Him. Shemot 12:1 Ya-hwuah spoke to Moshah and Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, saying, In the land of Egypt: This is the first time Ya-hwuah is said to have spoken in Egypt since the plagues began. The first time it was only to Moshe, who had initially only said he was there to give the slaves a rest. But it became a showdown between Ya-hwuah and Pharaoh, which kept escalating as Pharaoh refused to recognize that Ya-hwuah was greater than he, thinking he could ignore Yâ-hwuah’s many reiterations of the same command. But now, after nine plagues had not curbed his arrogance at all; the few times he did acknowledge Yâhwuah’, he did not follow through. So the cup of Egypt's sin has become full, and a plague more serious than merely strange weather and frogs in one's orifices needed to be used. Despite all Yâ-hwuah’ did, Egypt did not hear Him. Shouldn't the fact that the people recognize Moshe as great count for something? Yet they do not see the wonders as from Yâ-hwuah’, but from a man--just like Christianity--so the plague will fall on them as well. Seventy times seven is still a finite number, albeit large, and the number of times one can get away with the same thing will eventually reach its limit.
Shemot 12:2 “This month is the beginning of months to you. It is the first month of the year to you. YashaYahuw 27:13. Also it shall be on that Day, a great horn (showphâ´r) shall sound [7th Trumpet], and the ones being exterminated in the land of Successful One (’Ashshúwr) and the banished ones in the land of Entrenchments (Mitsráyim) shall come and they shall worship Yâ-hwuah on the Mountain of the Pureness in Yruwshâláim. and YirmeYahuw 23:7 Wasn’t this for ye your celebrated thing from the days of antiquity, her original [virginal] state? Her own legs have treacherously delivered her up from afar off to turn aside from the Way! Disclosure 12: 6 So the wife fled into the uninhabited land, where she has a place there prepared of Yâ-hwuah, in order that they should nourish her there one thousand two hundred sixty days.
YirmeYahuw 23:8. Who planned this against the Rock (Tsowr), the Bestower of crowns , Whose merchants are princes and Whose merchants are honored by the Land? Is He inferior? Is He incapable? Shemot 12:3 Speak to all the congregation of Ysra'al, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall each select for themselves an animal from the flock per ancestral house, that is, one the flock animal per household; Per ancestral house: literally, "For a house of fathers". This is the purpose of the slaughtered Lamb, Yâhuwshúa`—to build a house of living stones for his Father to indwell. The Lamb was not to be from Mitsrayim or imported from anywhere else, just as Yâhuwshúa` was from among the flock of Ysra'al. Shemot 12:4 and if the household is too little for a flock animal, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls; according to what everyone can eat you shall make your count for the flock animal. Persons: literally, "souls". How much each one can eat: literally, "man according to the mouth of his eating". Smaller families were to share one lamb so the life of the animal would not be taken and then some of the meat wasted, because they could not take it with them. Shemot 12:5 Your animal from the flock shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats: Perfect: or complete, having nothing missing and no additional parts that should not be there--for it symbolizes ourselves. We must not present to Ya-hwuah anything less than our best--or added accoutrements He does not want--and not just the best that we are
now, but the best we can be. We do not offer something old and worn out, but something fresh, and every part of ourselves, reserving nothing for self. We are made to be perfect, yet we cannot realize this until we get the "leaven" out of our lives. This lamb is in no way lame, even though the root word for "Passover" means "lame"--for that which is lame in us must be killed off. An individual might never become perfect as we think of it, but each can bring the whole community to completeness. And perfection according to Torah is not necessarily lack of sin, but following the remedy it prescribes when we do sin, for we learn and grow from these as well. Each household had to know how to judge what was acceptable to Ya-hwuah. Shemot 12:6 and you shall watch over it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Ysra'al shall kill it at the evening. Watch over it: or observe it, to be sure there were no defects. You made Me trust at My mother’s breasts. I was thrown on You from My mother’s womb. You are My Aluahiym since My mother bore Me. Don’t be far from Me, for trouble is near. For there is none to help.
Many bulls [Ephrayim] have surrounded Me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled Me. [And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. Deuteronomy 33:22] They open their mouths wide against Me, lions [Yahuwdah] tearing prey and roaring. I am poured out like water. All My bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within Me. My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of My mouth. You have brought Me into the dust of death. My precious life from the power of the dog [the lawless]. Save Me from the lion’s [Yahuwdah's] mouth! Yes, from the horns of the wild oxen [Ephrayim], You have answered Me. I will declare Your Name to My brothers. In the midst of the assembly, I will praise You. You who fear Ya-hwuah, praise Him! All You descendants of Ya'aqob, esteem Him! Stand in awe of Him, all You descendants of Ysra'al! For He Has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, Neither has He hidden His Face from Him; but when He cried to Him, He heard. Of You comes My praise in the great assembly. I will pay My vows before those who fear Him. The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise Ya-hwuah who seek after Him. The Day of Atonement which is on the 10th Day of the 7th Month is directly related to the 10th Day of the 1st Month on the Sacred Calendar; as the 1st and 7th Months are identical. The Day of Atonement is when the haMashiyach will judge the world at His Second Coming. Shemot 12:7 They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it. Moshah later commanded the Y’sra’alites to write the words of the Torah on their doorposts, because the commandment would be "life" to them (Deut. 32:47). It would form the letter “heth”, the first letter in the Ibriy word for “life”. Blood is where the "life of the flesh" resides (Lev. 17:14). Shemot 12:8 They shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs. Bitter herbs: possibly "bitter things", or simply "bitterness". The word for "flesh" is basar. It can mean "meat", and because the locating of meat for consumption is glad news for hungry people, the word basar also came to mean "good news". It is the Hebrew equivalent of the word "gospel”. We could also alternately translate "the life of the flesh
is in the blood" as "blood is the soul of the gospel". The glad news is about the blood of Yâhuwshúa`. One reason blood is not to be eaten is that it is what makes atonement for the soul (Lev. 17:11). His Body needs his blood in order to live spiritually. The word for "blood" is dam, and occasionally this also refers to wine. This can explain why Yâhuwshúa` said that unless we eat his flesh (the gospel) and drink his blood (the Passover wine that symbolizes what his blood means to us), we have no life in us. (Yahuwchanan 6:53) Shemot 12:9 Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts. It was not to be boiled, because Ya-hwuah had promised Noah that the world would not be destroyed by a flood again; next time it will be by fire. (Yahuwchanan the Immerser said Yâhuwshúa` would baptize with fire, not water.) Its entrails: The intestines were wrapped around the head and it was called the "crowned slaughter"; Yâhuwshúa`, Who is Himself called "our Passover" (1 Corinthians 5:7) , had a crown of thorns woven for Him. The whole animal was to be consumed. We don’t just give Ya-hwuah our head or our knees, but all of us. The entrails are what the flesh contains. In Ibriy “flesh” is the same as “gospel”. Though Yâhuwshúa` is the Head, the gospel we partake of has to have some content as well, and it is this: Shemot 12:10 You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.
Shemot 12:11 This is how you shall eat it: with your waist girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahwuah’s Passover. Your belt tied: literally, "your hips bound", since loose flowing robes would hinder quick movement if not secured tightly first. Paul links this with truth in Eph. 6, because if we have the facts secured, we cannot be fooled. Shoes on your feet: prepared, as seen in its connection to spreading the glad news. (Yashayahuw 52:7; Eph. 6) Staff in hand: Perhaps they had to dig their shepherds’ staffs out of storage, since they had not used them in so long. A shepherd’s staff often had events from one’s life carved on it, so this would remind them of who they really were. They were not to live as slaves anymore. Passover: literally, "skipping-over"; the reason for this will be seen in v. 13. The Passover is not the feast itself, but the sacrifice of this particular lamb, done in a particular way as specified here. Not just any blood would do, especially not from unclean animals; specifications of every aspect are given. Josephus adds that Moshah got the Hebrews ready for their departure by sorting them according to their tribes. Shemot 12:12 For I will pass/cross through the land of Mitsrayim in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Mitsrayim, both man and animal. Against all the mighty ones of Mitsrayim I will execute judgments: I AM Ya-hwuah. Cross: or pass through, the word for “Hebrew”, so Ya-hwuah Himself became a Hebrew here! Aram., "reveal Myself in..." Gods: Aram., "abominations". The last of the gods of Mitsrayim was Par'oh's own son, the next "incarnation of Ra", so to speak. He humiliated the greatest world power before killing them.
Shemot 12:13 The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be on you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Mitsrayim. The houses where you are: no longer "your houses", because they are ready to leave. The first stop in the Exodus, however, was the house. They had to be gathered into the primary administrative unit of Ysra’al first. Skip over: Aramaic, "spare". Plague: the word in Hebrew includes the sense of it being a mortal blow. Shemot 12:14 This day (Passover) shall be to you for a memorial, and you shall guard it as a feast to Ya-hwuah: throughout your generations you shall guard it as a feast by an ordinance forever. Festival: the word means “moving in a circle”. Generations are from a word for “gyration”. As the gyration of a top keeps it upright when spinning, or a ceiling fan must be balanced to spin properly, remembrance of the feast of unleavened bread keeps our “circle” in balance. Keeping it in season connects us to the other generations. But once we lost track of the right season, soon the “fan” spun so wildly that it was turned off altogether for our ancestors, but we can reclaim it. Bemidbar 9:1 Ya-hwuah spoke to Moshah in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, saying,
Bemidbar 9:2 “Moreover let the children of Ysra'al keep the Passover in its appointed season. Bemidbar 9:3 On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed season—according to all its statutes, and according to all its ordinances, you shall keep it.” Bemidbar 9:4 Moshah spoke to the children of Ysra'al, that they should keep the Passover. Bemidbar 9:5 They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that Yahwuah commanded Moshah, so the children of Ysra'al did. Bemidbar 9:6 There were certain men, who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moshah and before Aharon on that day. Bemidbar 9:7 Those men said to him, “We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of Yahwuah in its appointed season among the children of Ysra'al?” Bemidbar 9:8 Moshah answered them, “Wait, that I may hear what Ya-hwuah will command concerning you.” Bemidbar 9:9
Ya-hwuah spoke to Moshah, saying Bemidbar 9:10 “Say to the children of Ysra'al, ‘If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to YaHuWaH. Bemidbar 9:11 In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. Bemidbar 9:12 They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break a bone of it. According to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it. Bemidbar 9:13 But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he didn’t offer the offering of Ya-hwuah in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin. Bemidbar 9:14 “‘If a foreigner lives among you, and desires to keep the Passover to Ya-hwuah; according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its ordinance, so shall he do. You shall have one statute, both for the foreigner, and for him who is born in the land.’” Debarim 16:1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym; for in the month of Abib Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym brought you forth out of Mitsrayim by night.
Abib: the stage of growth when the barley grains are at a point of readiness to be harvested within the next few weeks, since the first fruits must be brought the day after the Sabbath following Passover. (Lev. 23:11) Observe: watch for it, but also build a hedge around it to guard it. The rabbis, noted for their frequent fence-building, have failed to do so in this case, substituting instead a contrived calendar. It was useful when no one in the Land of Ysra'al could get the word out to the diaspora, but now that there are those in the Land who search for the Abib every year, there is no excuse for holding onto a stopgap that is no longer necessary. It is convenient to be able to plan ahead, but this does not meet the requirements of Torah, for it does not wait for the Abib to be observed. Sometimes it actually moves the Passover to the wrong time—the exact opposite of guarding it. By night: This seems to contradict the fact that they walked out of Egypt in the morning after staying in the house all night as commanded. In Exodus 13:3ff, Moshah (the same one who authored this passage) even told them “this day you are going out, in the month of the Abib.” Hebraically, the day does not encompass the night, for the day has only 12 hours. (Yoch. 11:9) But Pharaoh summoned Moshah and Aharon at night and released them to leave. () But that would not be Ya-hwuah bringing us out. He acted at midnight by sending His death angel to spur Pharaoh on to let them go. But though they were “saved”, they were not safe as long as they stayed within Pharaoh’s jurisdiction and under his protection. That is only possible when we are Home. Though “freed”, they could not be delivered as long as they stayed in Egypt. So first they left the place of their captivity, then they left the borders of Egypt. But Pharaoh still had a grip on them until—again, by night—they crossed the Reed Sea. Though Yâhuwshúa` has redeemed us, we still live under others’ rule. Until His rod is in the Land, we are not safe. In the wilderness (the “place of the Word”), we are much safer since His presence goes with us, but Amaleq still attacks us there because until we are obedient enough to “get Egypt out our borders”, no longer longing for its comforts and securities, we still cannot arrive. Part of what held us captive is still alive; though Pharaoh is dead, but are all the firstborn of Egypt dead to us? The Hebrew term firstborn also encompasses the first fruits. Are the first fruits of our thoughts Hebrew or Egyptian? Do we still serve death in order to get through the present situation? Do we use the contrived calendar in order to know everything in advance? (Egypt’s main focus was preparing for death.).
We must search out all the foreign first fruits in order to go Home. We will usually find them “by night”—in the dark places where we avoid having the light shine. We must not hide any Egyptians behind the Passover Lamb (Yâhuwshúa`)’s blood. Do not let our short fallings be an excuse; let the Malak death slay them too. The Torah says we can keep the commands; it is not too hard. (30:12) So we put tzitziyoth on the borders of our garments to make it known that within these boundaries, Torah will rule. Debarim 16:2 You shall slaughter the Passover to Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Ya-hwuah shall choose, to cause His Name to dwell there. Debarim 16:3 You shall eat no leavened bread with it. You shall eat unleavened bread with it seven days, even the bread of affliction; for you came forth out of the land of Mitsrayim in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Mitsrayim all the days of your life. Debarim 16:4 There shall be no yeast seen with you in all your borders seven days; neither shall any of the flesh, which you slaughter the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. No leaven: This does not allow for letting someone else keep it for us until the week is over; that ruins the picture Ya-hwuah intends of removing the pervasive influence of sin from our lives. Why? Because we should not depend today on what was given us for yesterday. But also, once we slaughter it there should be no hesitation left. Since the word for meat also means “glad news”, we can read this as “no Gospel of hesitation may remain.”
Debarim 16:5 You may not slaughter the Passover within any of your gates, which Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym gives you; Debarim 16:6 but at the place which Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym shall choose, to cause His name to dwell in, there you shall slaughter the Passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season/moed that you came forth out of Mitsrayim. Debarim 16:7 You shall roast and eat in the place which Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym shall choose: and you shall turn in the morning, and go to your tents. Tents: Yet this command is for the time we are in the Land. (vv. 5-6) Therefore, we must surmise that Ya-hwuah intends for us to dwell in temporary dwellings not only at Sukkoth, but at Passover as well (and by extension, probably Shabuoth as well, though it is a one-day festival). It is only logical that so many people coming for the three pilgrimage festivals would not all be able to be housed in buildings when Yahrushalom at its heyday had only 30,000 people living within the city walls. In fact, it appears from Y’hezq’el 45 that an open area will be left around the Temple precincts in the Kingdom for this very purpose. Ysra'al is a people that is marked by the characteristic of dwelling in tents when in Yâ-hwuah’s direct presence. The Passover/Phâ´çech meal was observed just after sunset on Tuesday night. And if a person was unclean and could not keep the Passover/Phâ´çech on the 14th Day of the 1st Month, he still had to keep it on the 14th Day of the 2nd Month

In Hebrews 10:4 it is written , "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins". The whole sacrificial system of the Old Testament was a foreshadow of the HaMashiyach’s perfect sacrifice ( ). The HaMashiyach shows us the new way to observe Passover/Phâ´çech The Passover/Phâ´çech is still to be kept on Tuesday night after sunset on the 14th Day of the 1st Month. But instead of killing a lamb however, we are now for the Passover/Phâ´çech meal, to eat unleavened bread which represents His broken body and to drink red wine that represents His blood that He shed for us for the forgiveness and remission of our sins. By observing Passover/Phâ´çech in this new way we acknowledge His sacrifice of suffering and death for our sins And He said:“ Go ye into the city to such a one, and say to him, ‘The Instructor says: “My season is near where is the lodge where I might eat the Phâ´çech with My pupils, so for you I will do the Phâ´çech (Exemption)?” And he will show you a ready, and furnished , large upper room. There prepare for us.’ And the pupils did as Yâhuwshúa` directed them, and prepared for the Phâ´çech. 14 And evening being come, He reclined to eat with the twelve; And as they were eating, He said:“ ’Âmë´n (Certainly) I say to you, that one of you who is eating with Me will give Me over. ”And being exceedingly grieved, they began to say to Him, each of them: “I am he, my Sovereign?” But He, answering, said: “One from the twelve: he who is dipping with Me into the bowl.] He who dipped his hand with Me
into the bowl, this one will give Me over. The Son of ’Âthâ´m indeed goes, just as it has been written about Him but hówy to that man through whose hand the Son of ’Âthâ´m is given over; it would have been better for him if that man hadn’t been born…”And responding, Yehuwthâ´h, who was giving Him over, said: “I am he, Rabbíy?” He says to him: “You said it. ”And as they were eating, Yâhuwshúa` having taken the bread, and having blessed, broke and gave it to the pupils, and said: “Take, eat; this means My body, which is given for your sake. Perform this for the remembrance of Me.” And having taken the cup, and having given thanks, He gave to them saying: “Take ye this and distribute among yourselves, Drink ye all from it, For this means My blood, that of the New Covenant, which for your sake concerning many is poured out for liberation from sins. And on the day before the Feast of unfermented bread, during which they killed the Phâ´çech, His pupils say to Him:“ Where do You wish we should, going off, prepare in order that You might eat the Phâ´çech (Exemption)?”And He sends forth two of His pupils, and says to them: “Go ye into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow ye him,´ And wherever he might enter, say to the homeowner: “Our Instructor says: ‘My season is near; where is the lodge where I might eat the Phâ´çech with My pupils, so for you I will do the Phâ´çech (Exemption)?’” And he will show you a ready, and furnished large upper room. And He said to them: “This means My blood, that of the New Covenant, which for your sake is poured out concerning many .But ’âmë´n (certainly) I say to you that I will not drink from the fruit of the vine anymore in any wise, until the Kingdom of Yâhwuah might be come, that Day when I drink it anew with you within the Kingdom of Yâ-hwuah.” And the Feast of the unfermented bread, which is called Phâ´çech drew near, And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking the manner how they might put Him to death, for they feared the people. And haSâţâ´n (the Adversary) entered into Yehuwthâ´h, the one surnamed ’Iy-Çkriy’ówţuw, being from the number of the twelve. And having departed, he discussed with the chief priests and the captains of the temple guard the manner how he might give Him over to them. And they rejoiced, and agreed to give him silver. And he promised and sought opportunity to give Him over to them, away from a crowd. Keeping the Feast of Unleavened Bread: In the New Testament it can be a little confusing on when and how the Feast of Unleavened Bread was kept. On the Passover/Phâ´çech Day on the 14th Day of the 1st Month only during the Passover/Phâ´çech Meal was unleavened bread used; however, you can still eat leavened bread the rest of that same day. It is on Wednesday night after sunset which begins the 15th Day of the 1st Month that the Feast of Unleavened Bread starts. The Feast of Unleavened Bread lasts 7 Days from the 15th Day to the 21st Day of the 1st Month
Leviticus 23:5-16. From scripture we know that leaven (yeast) represents sin. So at the time of the first Passover/Phâ´çech, unleavened bread was symbolic of the children of Y’sra’al coming out of sin (out of Egypt and away from idolatry). Going into the Promised Land was symbolic of believers going into the Kingdom of Yahuah. Today, we still keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread as it was observed in the Old Testament. However, we observe the Feast in the light of the New Testament. We eat unleavened bread for 7 Days from the 15th Day to the 21st Day of the 1st Month. The 15th Day and the 21st Day both are High Sabbaths and are observed as Sabbaths Yâhuwchânâ´n 19:31; Then the “Yehuwthím”, because it was [their] Preparation Day, were saying:“ These bodies should not remain overnight upon the gallowscrosses because the Shabbâ´th is approaching!” Deuteronomy 21: 23 his body shall not remain all night on the tree, but you shall surely bury him the same day; for he who is hanged is accused of Aluahiym; that you don’t defile your Land which Ya-hwuah your Aluahiym gives you for an inheritance. WaYiqra (and He Called) 23:6 On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to Ya-hwuah. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. WaYiqra (and He Called) 23:7 In the first day you shall have a Set-apart convocation. You shall do no regular work.

In the seventh day is a Set-apart convocation: you shall do no regular work.’” We keep in mind that our sins are washed away by the blood of the haMashiyach and we eat unleavened bread which is symbolic of our abstaining from sin. We also keep in mind that the haMashiyach was in the tomb from Wednesday sunset (15th Day of the 1st Month) to Saturday (Sabbath) just before sunset (17th Day of the 1st Month) for 3 Nights and 3 Days. The haMashiyach rose from the dead on Sabbath just before sunset. Sabbath sunset began the 18th Day of the 1st Month. The 18th Day of the 1st Month was the time when the Sheaf Offering of the Barley was observed and was also the 1st Day of the 50 day count to Pentecost Feast of Weeks . The haMashiyach represents the First of the Firstfruit Offering of grain (barley) and the beginning of the barley harvest. Symbolically the haMashiyach is also the Bread of Life. The 18th Day of the 1st Month is also one of the three times in the year when all males were to present themselves before Yahuah and not to appear before Him empty handed Shemot 23:14 “You shall observe a feast to Me three times a year.

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out from Mitsrayim), and no one shall appear before Me empty. keep: more properly, guard—a much stronger term. And a thanks offering is above and beyond the required offerings. Ya-hwuah made it easy on us by putting two of the festivals right after the first fruits are harvested. But it also refers to coming only out of a sense of duty, because then we are really not affected by it; He wants us to come in expectation of what He intends to teach us through it. Shemot 23:16 And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field: and Feast of Harvest: Shavuoth; Feast of Ingathering: Sukkoth. Turn of the year: or the "going out", "departure", or "proceeding forth". It is actually two weeks into the beginning of the year, but the Hebraic mindset considers the whole transitional time from one year to the next as part of each. In Hebraic thought, times overlap one another rather than one stopping before another begins. It is also the end of the growing season, marked by the harvest. Produce: literally, "work" or “deeds”. Thus it depicts the reaping of the benefits or consequences of our actions.

"Times" here is from a different than in verse 14; it means "strokes", as in a rhythmic beat. The footsteps of time keep going at the same speed, but on three of the beats, you have an appointment and must not be out of rhythm. If the proper moment is missed, the time of life is past; it is like coming to a classroom two hours late; you can study there on your own, but the teacher will not be present. On these appointed beats, you may enter the dance. It is interesting that many who now follow Ya-hwuah's calendar were first drawn into it by celebrating a Passover seder and seeing the rich depth of meaning that rarely comes out in a mere "communion" service, which is a memorial thereof. Males: from the word for "remember", so Hirsch says it means the adults, who are in the position of passing the chain of tradition along to the next generation.
