… mobile enter-/info-tainment, mobile learning, mobile access to cultural heritage and m-advertising cultural aspects, news, weather forecasts, audio/video streaming, interactive games, betting, e-books, … emergency assistance services and mobile health applications and services emergency services, vital constants follow up, prevention, remote assistance and diagnostic and m-prescriptions… main features:  main features trials should involve an appropriate number of main actors from at least two different countries, which may include: service and application providers (e.g. current developers of internet applications on fixed lines) content providers and aggregators (e.g. publishers, sport associations, etc. compatibly with IPR issues) operators and manufacturers (terminal and platform suppliers) financial institutions, research labs and universities as well as where appropriate public and regulatory authorities users would also be welcome in any proposal (involved either by the operator or by the service provider) Disseminate interim results achieved at regular intervals such as three to four months Exploit synergies with existing industry initiatives Trials (take-up measures):  Trials (take-up measures) the development work within a Trial is restricted to the adaptation, fine-tuning, customisation and improvement of already available methods and technologies towards the users’ needs evaluation of the technological and economic benefits of the innovative use of the technology Funding: up to 100% for Personnel and Other Costs up to 50% for Equipment, Consumables, Travel, Computing, Subcontracting 0% for overheads and IPR protection in summary: call 7bis for trials of new 2.5-3G applications and services:  in summary: call 7bis for trials of new 2.5-3G applications and services to ensure a coherent and harmonized development of successful services and applications in Europe flexible to match market conditions and timings, with short duration (typically 18 months or less) total budget: around 25 M€ deadline for receipt 4 December 2001, 5 PM IST2002 - V.1.1 CPA1 (RTD): Mobile applications and services (Call 8, publication foreseen on 15 November 2001):  IST2002 - V.1.1 CPA1 (RTD): Mobile applications and services (Call 8, publication foreseen on 15 November 2001) Objectives: To develop user friendly, pan-European applications and services, based on leading-edge mobile and wireless technologies, including 3G mobile systems and wireless LANs, in the framework of a transition from IPv4 to IPv6 based service provisioning. Focus: on integrated solutions combining advanced mobile and wireless technologies with multi-sensorial interfacing techniques to provide innovative value added services and applications. Inter-working and inter-operability of different solutions (e.g. 3G and W-LAN) in order to provide the most convenient and efficient service provision as a function of the user profile, which may include the user location.
