Product Market.     The international licensing and litigation market was worth $24.357bn in 2013. The I.P commodity boom has begun. Patents are becoming a tradeable asset class. Patents in industries like the smart phone are being highly overvalued due to the ongoing tug of war between technology behemoths. Accurate Patent Valuations are required by any technology, invention or pharma company who invest in building Intellectual Property.

Our Intellectual Property.   Back-end Javascript based engine, developed in-house that can support data processing, analytics and semantic applications. Mathematical Algorithms to build weighted factor indices based on public and client I.P data.   A PHP-based web communications engine named Tinymail. A fully in-house developed Image Processing Engine, built initially to derive intelligence out of poorly maintained patent PDFs.

Product Competitors. 1. Oceantomo : www.oceantomo.com Oceantomo provides its valuation services on a wholly statistical footing. Hedcet is an I.P company. Hedcet in its product development is combining statistical analysis with semantics and patent meta-data to build a highly accurate means of valuation and successively help build an entire "I.P as a commodity" market. 2. Pantros I.P : www.pantrosip.com Pantros I.P is an I.P company. Through its own capabilities and acquisitions, they have gone a step further and are using patent meta-data to semantically ascertain value on Hedcet's lines. Hedcet is a technology company. We have a new-generation javascript-based technology engine, possessed by less than 100 companies world-wide, created inhouse, capable of supporting semantic applications and building intelligence in processing data.

The Founding Team. Founders : 1. Sharan Thampi : Responsible for the business development side of the company. My assets are excellent communication skills, the ability to break down a complex idea into simple matter and programming skills that allow me to understand technology. I have a passion for doing my own thing, my own way. 2. Tejas Kumar : Responsible for the operational aspects of the company. I handle product tailoring for clients, company finances, I.P protection and logistics. I also handle the people in the company in an H.R role. 3. Linto C Antony : Responsible for the technology back-end of the company. I build the engine that supports all of Hedcet's Product Development activity in a scalable manner. I manage the developers. My focus is on technological excellence. 4. Arun Kumar T.K : Responsible for engineering, building the mathematics and I.P centric data-based algorithms that power our Patent Valuations product. I perform an R&D role with respect to our product and I’m Hedcet’s lead engineer.

Past.    Hedcet has been building I.P products for the past year for a captive client in the Intellectual Property domain after graduating from Startup Village’s accelerator. The company has made revenues of INR 18,00,000 (USD 30000) which it has used to fund further product development. Previously, Hedcet was a campus startup, building web and mobile applications.

Investment Proposition. Investment Amount: USD 100,000 Equity Dilution: 60% equity upfront with buyback of 3540% for the founders at the original price on hitting 12 month valuation target. Valuation Target: USD 2 million in 12 months. Potential Gain for an Investor: 400-500% in 12 months. Spend: USD 8000 per month toward (a) hiring and (b) setting up office in the United States.
