Project introduction  As the largest integrated logistics service provider in China, SINOTRANS provides a full range of sea, land and air transportation services that includes storage wharf services, express delivery, shipping agent services, and freight forwarding.  This project integrated all of SINOTRANS information communication technology (ICT) services. SINOTRANS outsourced the construction and O&M of its existing IT infrastructure to a carrier. The carrier provided ICT services, including IaaS, enterprise unified communications (UC), data center O&M, and service continuity.  Develops public cloud services.  Transforms to the role of ICT expert. Huawei Confidential Service Migration Content SN Item Description 1 Project management The key to successful service migration is effective project management. 2 System research A survey is conducted to identify the IT status of the service system, migration risks, and the impact on services. 3 Service impact analysis Service association and the impact of service interruption are analyzed based on the service association survey. 4 Risk analysis Risks are analyzed based on the migration risk survey. 5 Migration strategy A detailed migration strategy is prepared based on the analysis in items 3 and 4 and the migration principles. 6 Migration solution preparation An overall solution to service migration is prepared. 7 Migration plan preparation Migration plans for each department are prepared. These include the time required to become familiar with migration tools, the data upload duration, final synchronization time, the duration of PC and TC co-existence, and the PC-to-TC transition duration. 8 Risk countermeasure preparation Countermeasures are prepared based on service migration risks. 9 Desktop migration drill This item helps customers become familiar with the migration flow and improves the service migration capability in various scenarios. 10 Migration simulation Service migration is simulated to resolve service migration problems. 11 Migration technical service A service migration tool is deployed in the data center, and related tests are conducted on the migration tool. Huawei Confidential  Migrates 48 service systems to the cloud platform and consolidates 200 servers.  Uses about 5,000 virtual desktops and integrates the existing system with the Huawei or third party UC system.  Supports the operation of over 40 SINOTRANS branches with cloud-based services.  Performs disaster recovery and data backup for 60% of the basic resources in two Guangzhou data centers, and backs up the key data in the Shenzhen data center. Improves resource usage Shortens the service rollout period Reduces O&M costs Improves system reliability Increases resource utilization from 20% to 70%.
