There are 26 Countries That has common borders, are known as Schengen Area, those countries has common visa policy.
The Agreement The Schengen Agreement was signed on 14 June 1985 by five of the then ten EU member states. The Schengen Area was established outside of the then European Community, when consensus could not be reached among all of its member states on the abolition of border controls.
The visa policy of Schengen is different for different countries. Depending upon applicants citizenship you have required schengen visa or not.
Short-stay and transit visas The rules applicable to short-term entry visas into the Schengen Area are set out in EU regulations which contain two lists: a list of the nationalities (or classes of travel document holder) which require a visa for a short-term stay (the Annex I list) and a list which do not being listed in the visa-free list will sometimes but not always exempt the listed nationality or class from the requirement to obtain a work permit if they wish to take up employment or self-employed activity during their stay; business trips are not normally considered employment in this sense
