Description

The 70:20:10 model for learning and development is well-established, with research showing that bulk of learning is earned on-the-job accented by 20% gained from peers and managers and 10% from formal training. Yet HR professionals have historically focused their technology and programmatic investments in the smallest areas of impact. With the arrival of big data, the evolution of enterprise collaboration systems, and the saturation of mobile devices, organizations across all industries are now putting in practice new platforms that are better equipped to foster and measure access to critical information that can impact a person's work in real-time. On-the-job training is becoming more scalable, no longer reliant on 1:1 shadowing or trial and error, as individuals can get just-in-time performance support that shapes how they accomplish a task exactly when they're doing it. Think of this as eliminating the Learning / Performance management systems and introducing a productivity support system.

Join Charlie Kauffunger from the Educe Group to hear the stories from the front lines about how organizations are accelerating the shift of their resources away from the traditional talent management system and process investments and towards embedded support systems that empower a new way to work.
